Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver is tasked with transporting gas products to assigned routes and executing their delivery and distribution to customers.
Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive operational excellence and enhance organizational performance, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Develop and execute comprehensive action plans to optimize workflows, streamline processes, and achieve measurable improvements in productivity and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and sustainable growth, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, assess results, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads, offering guidance on best practices and fostering collaboration to achieve collective goals. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of gas products to customers while fostering strong, professional relationships to enhance satisfaction and trust.
Deliver comprehensive product insights and technical assistance to customers upon request.
Deliver products punctually by operating the delivery van, ensuring the vehicle remains clean and fully operational throughout each route.
Provide support to operators in the secure loading of gas cylinders onto the vehicle.
Oversee van inventory management, perform daily stock reconciliations, and document any discrepancies.
Oversee the meticulous documentation of sales transactions, client interactions, and delivery schedules to ensure comprehensive and precise record-keeping.
Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, complemented by a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management software, and exceptional communication abilities are essential. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of problem-solving and the capacity to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and adherence to compliance standards are required. Additionally, prior experience in project leadership or mentoring junior staff is advantageous.
A minimum of one to two years of professional experience in delivery services or driving is required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an unblemished driving record.
Proficient in operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles, with a strong emphasis on handling mini buses and vans.
Dedicated to delivering consistent, high-quality results through diligence and accountability.
Possesses in-depth familiarity with Lagos’ transportation networks and supply chain routes, including key distribution channels.
