We seek a Full-Stack Product Lead to oversee the complete digital experience lifecycle, serving as the vital link between overarching business strategy—managed by Product Management—and meticulous, pixel-perfect execution—driven by Design.

What You’ll Do

Craft the Product Strategy: Convert business objectives, editorial focus areas, and user demands into well-defined product initiatives, organized within six-to-eight-week delivery cycles.

Deliver comprehensive end-to-end design solutions by conceptualizing user flows, crafting wireframes, developing high-fidelity interfaces, and building interactive prototypes, while establishing and maintaining a scalable design system—primarily utilizing Figma.

Conduct comprehensive user research and testing initiatives by engaging African business professionals, investors, and executives through targeted recruitment and session facilitation. Translate gathered insights into actionable recommendations that shape product strategy and guide UI design decisions.

Design innovative Core Platform Experiences by creating intuitive interfaces for content discovery, immersive deep-dive reading features, dynamic interactive reports, comprehensive data dashboards, real-time country and opportunity trackers, seamless paywall implementations, and integrated newsletter functionalities.

Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to address uncertainties promptly within rapid development cycles, refining designs in response to technical limitations while balancing priorities effectively to uphold superior standards of delivery.

Lead the development of features that enhance user engagement and drive growth, with full ownership of the user experience for personalization, search functionality, subscription management, data exports, and tools tailored to both free and premium users.

Develop Core Operational Frameworks: Design and implement the foundational systems that govern our problem identification, prioritization, prototyping, testing, and product deployment cycles within a dynamic, early-stage startup setting.

What We’re Looking ForMust-Haves

Demonstrated expertise in both product management and design is essential, requiring either a product designer with a deep grasp of product strategy and roadmap ownership or a product manager with exceptional UI/UX design execution capabilities.

Figma Expertise: You demonstrate exceptional proficiency in crafting production-grade designs, reusable components, and dynamic interactive prototypes on a consistent basis.

Experienced in delivering B2B/SaaS solutions, with a proven history of developing and deploying digital web applications or platforms tailored for professional or data-intensive sectors.

Autonomous Researcher: You will independently recruit participants, conduct testing sessions, and transform unprocessed qualitative data into actionable product improvements.

A robust portfolio showcasing strategic product thinking—articulating the rationale behind decisions—alongside polished, intuitive visual and UI design, particularly for content-intensive or data-driven platforms, is essential.

Startup Mindset: Thrives in a founder-led, high-velocity environment characterized by ambiguity and elevated expectations.

Nice-to-Haves

Candidates should possess demonstrated experience in market intelligence, financial data analysis, media platforms, or subscription-based services, including familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, Statista, The Information, and Substack.

Proficiency in data visualization, interactive dashboards, or intricate information design is required.

Proven expertise in African markets, emerging economies, or international business intelligence is required.

Proficiency in Webflow, Framer, or foundational front-end collaboration tools is required.

Proficiency in growth design principles, conversion optimization strategies, or the development of premium paywall and subscription user flows is essential.
