Job Summary
The Account Officer will facilitate the organization’s financial processes by maintaining precision in recording, reconciling, and reporting transactions, all while adhering to established internal controls and regulatory requirements.
This position involves managing general ledger accounts, handling invoice and payment processing, generating financial reports, tracking accounts receivable, assisting with tax and regulatory compliance efforts, and maintaining thorough documentation of all financial transactions.
The preferred candidate should exhibit robust analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering integrity.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with expertise in database management and cloud computing platforms. Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues are required. Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and experience with full-stack development.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
A recognized professional certification, including ACA, ARCA, or ICAN, is a prerequisite for this role.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of one year up to five years of pertinent professional experience.
Proficiency in the microfinance banking or broader financial services sector will be considered an asset.
Exceptional proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities is required.
