"WANED-Nigeria fosters peace building through West African civil society collaboration."
WANED-Nigeria serves as the Nigerian branch of the West Africa Network for Peace building (WANED), a sub-regional non-governmental organization headquartered in Accra, Ghana. WANED’s mission is to foster collaborative frameworks among civil society-based peace building practitioners and institutions across West Africa. This is achieved by encouraging joint efforts to address violent conflicts, establishing structured platforms for practitioners and organizations to regularly share experiences and insights on peace building, conflict transformation, social, religious, and political reconciliation, and advocating for the utilization of West Africa’s rich social and cultural values as foundational resources for sustainable peace.
