Oversee a diverse range of critical tasks to ensure operational excellence and team performance. Lead cross-functional initiatives, fostering collaboration and aligning efforts with organizational goals. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators, analyzing data to identify trends and recommend data-driven solutions. Serve as a mentor and coach to team members, providing guidance and support to cultivate talent and enhance skill development. Represent the department in high-level meetings, presenting insights and advocating for innovative approaches to senior leadership. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices to maintain compliance and mitigate risks. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and high standards across all operational areas.

Evaluate contractor-generated electrical engineering deliverables and technical submissions for compliance and accuracy.

Verify electrical installations, encompassing substations, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential hazards, defects, or deviations from established specifications. Document findings meticulously and report any discrepancies to relevant stakeholders for corrective action. Maintain detailed records of all inspections and maintenance activities to support audit trails and regulatory submissions. Collaborate with engineering teams to address deficiencies and implement improvements as needed.

Design, installation, and maintenance of distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), cabling infrastructure, lighting systems, earthing arrangements, and lightning protection systems.

Perform comprehensive site inspections and technical audits to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and established project requirements.

Review project advancements and contribute technical expertise to the certification of contractor payments.

Conduct a thorough evaluation to detect potential technical risks, identify instances of non-conformity, and address any quality-related concerns that may arise.

Develop comprehensive assurance reports and provide strategic recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness and compliance.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.

Professional registration with a recognized body such as CORE, PE, Cent, or an equivalent credential is essential.

Associate Level requires a minimum of six years of relevant experience, while Consultant Level necessitates at least twelve years of applicable expertise in industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, power generation, transmission, or major infrastructure projects.

Proficient in electrical systems encompassing high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) networks, as well as substations, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and power distribution.

Proficient understanding of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and other relevant industry standards is required.

Consulting, Owner’s Engineer, EPC/EPCM, third-party inspection, project assurance, or technical audit experience will be highly advantageous.

Certified professionals with relevant credentials will be given preference during the review of applications. Accepted certifications include, but are not limited to, PMP, CAP, ITIL, or Scrum Master qualifications, among others pertinent to the role.

PMP certification, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification, BOSH certification, IEEE membership, Electrical Safety Certification, and Protection and Control Certification (or equivalent) are required.

Professionals with experience in independent assurance, consulting, construction supervision, project verification, technical auditing, or owner’s engineering are strongly encouraged to apply.
