Job Summary
The Technical Assistant Engineer will deliver on-site technical services at building and construction sites to enhance business operations while simultaneously cultivating qualified leads to reinforce sales execution.
This position demands robust field engagement, foundational technical expertise, and seamless collaboration with the Field Sales team to ensure prompt business fulfillment.
Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing a broad range of operational, strategic, and administrative functions essential to the organization’s success. Lead cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while fostering collaboration across departments. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, compliance, and performance. Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, resolve challenges, and drive informed decision-making. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and teams, providing clear communication, guidance, and support to achieve organizational goals. Monitor industry developments and competitive landscapes to recommend innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls while mitigating risks through proactive measures.
Conduct site visits at designated construction and building locations to deliver essential technical support and services as needed.
During site visits, identify, develop, and formally record potential business leads.
Qualified leads are transferred to Field Sales Agents for processing and finalization.
Validate all generated leads to confirm they meet client requirements and are feasible for fulfillment within a 72-hour timeframe.
Maintain precise documentation of site visits conducted, leads generated, and activities performed to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date records.
Facilitate the Field Sales Manager’s implementation of technical and operational field tasks by providing comprehensive support.
Perform additional responsibilities as delegated by management to support organizational objectives.
Seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in project management and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, along with proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Asana. A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role is required, along with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
A minimum qualification of an HND or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Construction Management, or another related field of construction is required.
Demonstrates a foundational knowledge of construction methodologies, the characteristics of various building materials, and daily site activities.
Relevant experience in field service, on-site operations, or technical assistance is beneficial.
Proficient in recognizing market opportunities and cultivating client relationships through professional on-site engagement.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with proficiency in reporting and fostering positive interpersonal relationships.
Capable of meeting the physical demands required for extensive fieldwork and willing to engage actively in outdoor environments.
Demonstrates flexibility and readiness to undertake travel and work assignments across various locations throughout Nigeria as needed.
