Job Summary
The Technical Assistant Engineer will facilitate business operations by delivering hands-on technical services at various building and construction sites while simultaneously cultivating qualified leads to enhance sales performance.
This position demands robust field engagement, foundational technical expertise, and seamless collaboration with the Field Sales team to ensure expeditious business fulfillment.
Oversee and execute critical operational duties, ensuring adherence to established protocols and organizational objectives. Lead strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance across departments. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline workflows and mitigate risks. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align business strategies with long-term growth and sustainability goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to optimize decision-making processes. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement among teams. Manage cross-functional projects, allocating resources effectively to meet deadlines and deliver measurable outcomes.
Conduct site visits at designated construction and building locations to deliver essential technical assistance and services as needed.
Conduct thorough on-site evaluations to uncover, develop, and formally record viable business opportunities.
Handover qualified leads to Field Sales Agents for fulfillment and execution.
Validate that all generated leads meet the client’s requirements and can be executed within a seventy-two-hour (72) timeframe.
You are responsible for meticulously documenting site visits, tracking leads generated, and recording all activities performed.
Assist the Field Sales Manager by carrying out technical and operational responsibilities in the field.
Perform all additional responsibilities delegated by management in alignment with organizational objectives and operational requirements.
Candidates must fulfill the following prerequisites to be considered for this role. The ideal applicant will possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, along with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning. Prior experience in project management or leadership roles is highly advantageous. Additionally, familiarity with current industry trends and compliance standards is expected.
A qualification of HND or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Construction Management, or another relevant construction-related field is required.
Possesses a foundational knowledge of construction methodologies, building supplies, and on-site activities.
Proficiency in field operations, site management, or technical support roles is highly beneficial.
Skilled at recognizing business prospects and cultivating client relationships with professionalism during on-site engagements.
Skilled in clear and concise communication, with a talent for crafting reports and fostering strong interpersonal relationships.
Capable of maintaining peak physical condition and committed to performing extensive fieldwork duties.
Demonstrated flexibility to travel and operate across various locations throughout Nigeria, as business needs dictate.
