Job Summary
The Technical Assistant Engineer will deliver on-site technical services at construction and building sites to bolster business operations while simultaneously cultivating qualified leads to enhance sales execution.
The position demands robust field engagement, fundamental technical expertise, and seamless collaboration with the Field Sales team to ensure prompt business fulfillment.
Oversee a comprehensive range of strategic duties and operational tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Develop, implement, and monitor initiatives that drive performance, efficiency, and innovation across relevant departments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster cohesive workflows, streamline processes, and achieve measurable outcomes. Analyze data, assess risks, and propose evidence-based solutions to enhance productivity and decision-making. Manage stakeholder relationships with professionalism, including regular updates, clear communication, and conflict resolution where necessary. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards while maintaining high accountability for team objectives and deliverables. Lead by example, mentoring staff and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Conduct on-site visits to designated construction and building sites to deliver essential technical support and services.
Prospect, develop, and formally record promising business opportunities encountered while conducting site visits.
Qualified leads are transferred to Field Sales Agents to ensure proper fulfillment and successful closure.
Verify that every generated lead meets client requirements and can be fulfilled within a seventy-two (72) hour timeframe.
Record all site visits, leads generated, and activities performed with precision and thoroughness.
Provide assistance to the Field Sales Manager in carrying out field-based technical and operational duties.
Perform additional responsibilities as directed by management to support operational objectives as required.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Three or more years of professional experience in software development, preferably in a leadership or mentoring role. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C++. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
A Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Construction Management, or another construction-related field is required.
Proficient knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, and on-site procedures is required.
Professional experience in field operations, site management, or technical support is highly beneficial.
Proficient in recognizing business opportunities and establishing professional client relationships through on-site engagement.
Exceptional proficiency in communication, reporting, and interpersonal interactions is required.
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and committed to frequent fieldwork assignments.
Demonstrates flexibility to undertake travel and operate across various locations throughout Nigeria as needed.
Maintaining a high degree of professionalism, dependability, and flexibility to accommodate evolving work schedules is essential.
Proficient in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy.
