Job Summary

The Technical Assistant Engineer will facilitate business operations by delivering on-site technical services at building and construction sites while simultaneously cultivating qualified leads to enhance sales execution.

This position demands robust field engagement, foundational technical understanding, and seamless collaboration with the Field Sales team to ensure prompt business execution.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies. Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, track progress through detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential risks, resolve operational challenges, and optimize processes to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with senior leadership to align initiatives with strategic objectives and drive continuous improvement across all assigned functions.

Conduct on-site visits at designated construction and building projects to deliver essential technical assistance and services.

Conduct thorough on-site evaluations to identify, develop, and formally document promising business opportunities and potential leads.

Proactively transfer qualified leads to Field Sales Agents to ensure seamless fulfillment and prompt closure of opportunities.

All generated leads must undergo validation to confirm they meet client requirements and can be fulfilled within a seventy-two (72) hour timeframe.

Ensure meticulous documentation of site visits, captured leads, and executed activities with precision and consistency.

Provide assistance to the Field Sales Manager in carrying out field-specific technical and operational duties.

Execute additional responsibilities as directed by management to align with organizational objectives.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field, along with proficiency in industry-standard software and tools. The ideal applicant should demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in project management. Additionally, excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, coupled with the capacity to work under tight deadlines. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, and any relevant certifications will be considered advantageous. Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices is also a must.

A Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related construction discipline is required.

Possesses a fundamental knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, and field operations.

Proficiency in field, site, or technical support roles is considered a valuable asset.

Proficient in recognizing business prospects and establishing professional client relationships through on-site interactions.

Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are essential, along with robust reporting proficiency and the capacity to engage effectively with others.

Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and committed to spending significant time outdoors.

Capable of traveling and working at various locations throughout Nigeria as needed.

Maintains a high degree of integrity, reliability, and the ability to adapt effectively to dynamic work schedules.
