The incumbent oversees and directs several audit engagements to provide high-quality audit services for Dexia Nigeria’s clients.

Collaborate effectively with the Head of Department and the Partner in Charge to oversee and administer audit engagements seamlessly.

Craft proposals in coordination with the business development unit to secure new engagements.

Strive to meet predetermined revenue objectives consistently and in accordance with established benchmarks.

Conduct audit engagements in accordance with international standards and the firm’s established quality control protocols.

Drive the development of junior team members by providing leadership and mentorship, while enhancing their professional skills through structured on-the-job training and specialized technical workshops.

Assist in producing departmental outputs such as monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as annual work plans, while coordinating with other teams on tasks associated with communication and marketing initiatives.

Oversee audit engagements while conducting thorough reviews of subordinate work and the entirety of each audit engagement.

Prepare and distribute up-to-date reports promptly for senior management review.

Minimum qualifications necessary for consideration include at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Applicants must demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with project management methodologies and prior leadership experience are highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

A minimum qualification of a degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.

Requires a minimum of seven years of relevant work experience following completion of the required qualifications.

Qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or a comparable professional body is required.

Other prerequisites include a minimum of five years of experience in a comparable role, proficiency in industry-standard software applications, and a proven ability to meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Additionally, familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and compliance protocols is required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Demonstrated success in managing a minimum of seven category A clients consistently over a two-year period.

Possesses a comprehensive grasp of accounting and auditing standards, as evidenced by prior experience and professional development.

Experienced in auditing across multiple industries and sectors.

Exceptional proficiency in communication, encompassing verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to craft comprehensive reports.
