Job Summary

The Store Manager oversees inventory management, stock movements, store records, and inventory accountability, with a strong emphasis on maintaining precise reporting and minimizing losses.

Oversee and execute core duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, while driving efficiency and fostering innovation across all assigned functions. Serve as a pivotal point of contact for cross-functional teams, facilitating seamless communication and resolving operational challenges proactively. Monitor workflows, assess performance metrics, and implement strategic improvements to enhance productivity and meet established targets. Collaborate with leadership to develop actionable plans, allocate resources effectively, and uphold compliance with industry standards and company policies. Additionally, mentor team members, cultivate a culture of accountability, and contribute to long-term business growth through continuous process optimization and data-driven decision-making.

Oversee the comprehensive management of all store inventory to ensure accurate tracking, organization, and availability of products.

Track and oversee incoming inventory deliveries, internal stock transfers, and the distribution of items to appropriate departments or locations.

Perform stock counts and reconciliations on a routine basis to ensure accuracy and alignment with inventory records.

Analyze discrepancies in stock levels to identify the underlying causes and ensure accurate inventory records.

Ensure inventory records are maintained with precision and accuracy.

Properly store and handle all products to maintain their integrity and quality.

Coordinate the timely restocking of inventory to ensure optimal product availability. This involves managing supply chain logistics, tracking inventory levels, and collaborating with procurement teams to meet demand efficiently.

Ensure the systematic tracking of stock expiration dates and maintain proper product rotation protocols.

Compile and prepare comprehensive inventory reports tailored for senior management review, ensuring accurate and timely data presentation to facilitate informed decision-making processes.

Develop and execute inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in tracking stock levels. Establish protocols to monitor and maintain optimal inventory quantities while minimizing discrepancies and waste. Implement systems to streamline the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and compliance requirements.

Oversee and manage store staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company standards.

Conduct and facilitate audit and stock verification processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required, alongside a minimum of five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, or a comparable role. Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and ERP systems is essential, with advanced Excel skills being particularly critical. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication skills are needed to convey financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels. A commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and compliance with regulatory requirements is also required.

A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in inventory or store management is required.
