Job Summary

The General Manager leads all business units—bakery, restaurant, mart, filling station, and support functions—while driving profitability, operational excellence, and sustained growth. This role ensures exceptional customer service, revenue expansion, and strict adherence to corporate standards across the branch.

Key duties encompass leading cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion, maintaining rigorous quality standards throughout all deliverables, and fostering collaboration across departments to align on strategic goals. Responsibilities also include analyzing data to identify trends, implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, and serving as a liaison between senior leadership and operational staff. Additionally, the role requires developing and executing training programs to upskill team members, monitoring performance metrics to track progress, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Offer strategic direction and operational oversight across all business units within the branch.

Enhance revenue generation and profitability for bakery, restaurant, mart, and station operations through strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Formulate and execute comprehensive business plans and operational strategies.

Oversee the financial performance of branch operations and guarantee the attainment of established revenue and profit objectives.

Responsible for managing inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and implementing strategies to reduce wastage and losses.

Maintain adherence to health, safety, financial, and regulatory standards to ensure full compliance across all operations.

Oversee departmental leaders to uphold accountability for performance outcomes.

Analyze operational reports and take corrective measures as needed to uphold performance standards and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Develop and maintain robust, mutually beneficial partnerships with clients, vendors, regulatory bodies, and local community representatives.

Evaluate potential growth avenues and propose strategic enhancements to drive business expansion and operational efficiency.

Deliver outstanding customer experiences consistently at every touchpoint of service delivery.

Duties include overseeing recruitment processes, managing employee performance, and implementing staff development programs within the branch.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, supplemented by at least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software, tools, or methodologies is essential, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a track record of delivering measurable results, collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams, and adapting to evolving business needs with agility and innovation.

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.

An MBA qualification is considered a valuable asset.

A minimum of eight years of management experience is required, including at least three years in a senior leadership position.

Proven track record of overseeing diverse business units across retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or other relevant industries.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in a range of specialized skills and key competencies. Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the capacity to work effectively under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to interact with stakeholders and convey complex information clearly.
