Job Summary

FIT is currently seeking an experienced, technology-focused professional with a creative mindset to spearhead its Digital Learning division and advance the institution’s digital learning transformation initiatives.

The Head, Digital Learning (LMS) will oversee the design, development, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of FIT’s digital learning ecosystem.

This position will offer high-level strategic direction in learning technology, digital content creation, instructional design, curriculum advancement, and Learning Management System (LMS) oversight, with the goal of providing exceptional learning experiences and scalable educational solutions.

Oversee and execute critical operational duties to ensure seamless business operations, including managing key projects, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. Act as a liaison between departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Identify process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Develop and monitor performance metrics to track progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement. Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior leadership, summarizing key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future initiatives.

Design, develop, and implement engaging digital learning content and instructional materials, leveraging modern authoring tools and multimedia elements to enhance educational experiences. Create interactive lessons, assessments, and multimedia resources that align with learning objectives and cater to diverse audience needs. Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and pedagogical effectiveness. Stay abreast of emerging trends in instructional design and digital learning technologies to continuously refine and optimize content. Evaluate learning outcomes and user feedback to inform iterative improvements and maintain high standards of instructional quality.

Orchestrate the design and execution of compelling digital learning content and e-learning programs, driving engagement and educational impact.

Design engaging, interactive learning materials with cutting-edge authoring tools and multimedia technologies.

Ensure that learning content adheres to globally recognized digital learning standards and industry best practices.

Instructional Design & Learning Methodology: Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective educational strategies and frameworks, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and organizational goals. Utilizes proven instructional design models and methodologies to create engaging and impactful learning experiences. Collaborates with subject-matter experts to gather and analyze content requirements, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Evaluates the efficacy of learning interventions through feedback and performance metrics, implementing continuous improvements as needed. Strong proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia development is essential. Must possess excellent communication and project management skills to deliver high-quality learning solutions within specified timelines.

Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related educational technologies serve as the backbone for delivering, tracking, and managing training programs and educational content. These platforms facilitate the seamless administration of courses, assessments, and certifications while enabling organizations to measure engagement, progress, and effectiveness. Experience with industry-standard systems such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or Cornerstone is essential, along with a strong understanding of SCORM, API, and other compliance standards. Additionally, familiarity with virtual classroom tools, content authoring software, and data analytics for learning outcomes is highly valued. The role requires the ability to identify technological needs, implement solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational learning objectives.

Deliver comprehensive strategic leadership for FIT’s Learning Management System (LMS) and digital learning platforms.

Oversee system administration, learner analytics, reporting processes, and platform optimization initiatives.

Spearhead the integration of cutting-edge learning technologies and pioneering digital learning solutions to foster widespread adoption and enhancement of educational methodologies.

Curriculum and program development involves designing, structuring, and refining educational frameworks to ensure alignment with learning objectives and industry standards. This role requires a deep understanding of pedagogical principles, educational technology, and assessment strategies to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Responsibilities include collaborating with subject-matter experts, analyzing educational trends, and developing comprehensive course materials, assessments, and instructional guides. Strong project management skills are essential to oversee the development process, meet deadlines, and ensure seamless implementation of new programs.

Craft and evaluate digital learning curricula that align with current industry demands and standards.

Transform classroom-based programs into digital and blended learning formats, ensuring seamless adaptation while maintaining educational integrity and engagement.

Drive the expansion and optimization of digital learning solutions to ensure successful market adoption and scalable growth.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role is required, with demonstrated proficiency in project management, data analysis, and strategic planning. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as the role involves frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, or CRM platforms, is highly desirable. Additionally, prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is preferred but not mandatory.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Learning Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a closely related field is required. Possession of a Master’s Degree will be considered an additional benefit.

Seeking candidates with a decade to twelve years of progressive expertise in Digital Learning, Learning Technology, Learning Management System Administration, Instructional Design, or E-Learning Development.

Proven expertise in the administration and oversight of enterprise-level Learning Management Systems and digital learning ecosystems is required.

Professional Certifications (Mandatory):

Candidates must possess relevant certifications and memberships in one or more of the following: ATD (Association for Talent Development); Learning & Performance Institute (LPI); Certified Instructional Designer; Moodle Certification; Articulate Storyline Certification; Adobe Captivate Certification; Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, Agile); Relevant Learning Technology or Digital Learning Certifications
