Job Summary
To maintain alignment in terms of weldability, composition, strength, and homogeneity, the role involves ensuring welding materials and consumables meet project requirements. This includes recommending appropriate welding processes and the number of required procedures in accordance with the Client’s or Owner’s specifications and approved project codes. Additionally, the position requires calculating the necessary quantities and qualities of consumables—such as electrodes, gas, and filler wires—to cover the entire project duration. The individual will also advise management on the optimal welding process, guide the project team on welding machine operations, parameter settings, and other critical factors to achieve efficient and high-quality production.
As a Welding Inspector, the responsibilities include analyzing material, welding, and production concerns to identify root causes and recommend improvements, ensuring strict adherence to quality control and assurance throughout project execution and delivery. The role applies project specifications and codes to facilitate seamless delivery from start to finish. This encompasses developing quality reports, conducting quality surveillance and audits, issuing inspection reports, and coordinating sign-off procedures with the Client. Daily quality reports will be provided to the Quality Manager for documentation. Furthermore, the position is responsible for maintaining project codes, standards, and specifications.

Core technical competencies include expertise in advanced programming languages, robust system architecture design, and comprehensive data analysis capabilities. Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in software development, with a proven track record in leading technical projects from inception to deployment. Additionally, proficiency in cloud computing platforms, cybersecurity best practices, and DevOps methodologies is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers. Familiarity with agile development frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is also required.
Ensure the flawless execution of project delivery in strict accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. Oversee, monitor, and personally perform all welding activities, while also managing quality control functions. Record and document welders’ performance metrics and oversee the selection of appropriate welding consumables for the project.
Perform all welding-related tasks and offer solutions while conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues.
Oversee the coordination and scheduling of welder qualifications, procedure qualifications, and the approval process for Welding Procedure Qualification Records. Confirm that qualification certificates and identification cards for welders are reviewed, signed, and distributed to all certified personnel.
Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of welders’ performance data for both the quality team and management.
Offer expert guidance on weld failures, outline repair strategies, and monitor the progress of weld repair activities throughout the project.
Recommend appropriate welding tools and equipment essential for efficient welding production and oversight of welding operations.
Collaborate closely with quality coordinators and welding engineers to ensure the achievement of the minimum weld repair rate.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, supplemented by a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The position demands meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
