A rapidly expanding plastic recycling company is in search of a skilled and seasoned Forklift Operators Supervisor to integrate into our operational team.

Location: Situated in Widow village along the Sag amu-Abeokuta Expressway in Gun State, Nigeria.

JOB SUMMARY

The Forklift Operators Supervisor will manage daily forklift operations in the factory and workshop settings, enforce safety protocols, evaluate operator efficiency, and streamline material flow between production units.

Oversee the full spectrum of daily operations to ensure seamless workflow efficiency and adherence to organizational standards. Drive strategic initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement across all departments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, foster innovation, and align operational goals with broader company objectives. Serve as a key liaison between leadership and staff, ensuring clear communication channels and resolving escalated issues with decisive action. Develop and execute training programs to elevate team competencies, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and uphold a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Additionally, analyze performance metrics to inform data-driven decision-making and report progress to senior management on key performance indicators.

Perform regular forklift inspections and promptly document any identified faults.

Provide instruction and mentorship to forklift operators, ensuring they adhere to optimal operational procedures.

Partner with workshop, production, and management teams to facilitate seamless operational workflows and align cross-functional efforts for optimal efficiency.

Oversee the optimal management of fuel and battery systems to maximize operational efficiency.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, along with a proven track record of success. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, and additional certifications or advanced degrees are highly desirable. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is mandatory, and candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

A minimum qualification of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSC) is required.

Experienced forklift operator supervisors or candidates in comparable positions are required.

A current certification in forklift operation is highly beneficial.

Demonstrates exceptional leadership abilities coupled with clear and persuasive communication skills.

Possesses a solid grasp of safety protocols specific to workshop and factory environments.

Capable of thriving in high-pressure situations while efficiently overseeing and coordinating the efforts of multiple operators.
