This full-time, on-site Primary Section Mathematics Teacher position is based in Oswego, where the successful candidate will design and implement dynamic mathematics lessons in alignment with the school’s blended curriculum, ensuring objectives are clear, measurable, and tailored to students’ developmental stages. Key responsibilities involve developing lesson plans and instructional materials, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs, and employing varied instructional methods and educational technologies to deepen understanding. The role requires continuous evaluation of student progress through assignments, assessments, and formative evaluations, alongside delivering constructive feedback to learners and their families. Furthermore, the teacher is expected to foster a positive and structured classroom setting, engage in staff meetings and professional growth opportunities, collaborate with peers on curriculum enhancements, and actively support school functions and extracurricular programs.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Three or more years of experience in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are essential. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git is preferred. Excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning are also necessary.

Demonstrates deep proficiency in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, coupled with the skill to articulate concepts in a manner accessible to young learners.

Experienced professionals with a track record in crafting structured lesson plans and designing comprehensive curricula are sought, ideally with expertise in either the British or Nigerian educational frameworks.

Status as a certified educator is required, with a valid teaching license and a degree in Education, Mathematics Education, or a closely related academic discipline.

Demonstrates strong classroom management capabilities, fostering inclusive, secure, and dynamic learning spaces that support student engagement and success.

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and collaborate efficiently with students, staff, and families to foster positive relationships and support academic and social development.

Proficient in leveraging educational technology and digital learning platforms to enhance instructional delivery and assessment methodologies.

Demonstrates a dedication to ongoing professional growth, engages in reflective practice, and upholds the school’s vision, mission, and core values.

Preferred candidates will possess prior experience in delivering primary mathematics instruction within an international or blended-curriculum school environment.
