Operate shelling machines by loading raw cashew nuts into them and overseeing the shelling process to ensure efficiency and quality.
Adjust machine parameters such as speed, pressure, and blade gaps in accordance with not size to reduce kernel breakage.
Perform meticulous quality inspections on shelled kernels to detect any breakage, residual shell fragments, or other imperfections.
Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving minor equipment malfunctions, clearing paper jams, conducting regular cleaning procedures, and escalating significant technical faults to the maintenance department.
Always adhere to established safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety goggles, and hearing protection.
Ensure daily production goals are consistently met while maintaining minimal kernel breakage rates.
Responsible for meticulously documenting machine runtime, production output, downtime occurrences, and all maintenance-related actions performed.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, as is strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and adhering to strict deadlines. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and best practices within the industry is a plus.
Requires a minimum of two years of hands-on experience with shelling machines or comparable production equipment within a manufacturing setting.
Proficient in overseeing and fine-tuning machine configurations to optimize operational efficiency during production.
Ensuring meticulous attention to precision and thoroughness in all tasks.
Proficient in performing fundamental troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance tasks.
Proficient knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices is required.
Willingness to work in More-Ibafo, Gun State, is a requirement.
The compensation range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000 annually.
