In this role, you will oversee the hotel’s day-to-day financial activities, ensuring adherence to international hospitality accounting standards and Nigerian tax regulations. Collaboration with department heads and senior leadership will be essential to optimize profitability while upholding stringent financial precision.

Oversee daily operations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, fostering an environment of efficiency and accountability. Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and driving growth across all departments. Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate policies that support long-term sustainability and competitive advantage. Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects on schedule and within budget, while maintaining rigorous standards of quality and compliance. Monitor performance metrics to identify trends, address inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as a primary liaison between executive management and operational staff to facilitate clear communication and alignment of goals. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity.

Prepare precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss (P&L) reports, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational requirements.

Oversee expenditures and financial performance to ensure alignment with budgetary targets, conducting thorough variance analyses and collaborating closely with the Food & Beverage and Operations teams to optimize inventory management and minimize waste.

Oversee the nightly audit process to ensure all room revenues, banquet charges, and ancillary income are precisely reconciled and documented.

Oversee the accurate and timely submission and payment of all statutory deductions—including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT—in strict adherence to FIRS and LIES regulatory guidelines.

Cash Flow Management: Responsible for administering accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management, and conducting daily cash flow forecasting.

Maintain and enhance internal control policies to safeguard hotel assets and mitigate the risk of fraud.

What We Are Looking For

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.

A recognized qualification such as ACA, ARCA, or CPA is an essential requirement for this role.

A minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible accounting experience within the hospitality sector is required.

Requires expertise in hospitality enterprise resource planning systems, QuickBooks, and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Exceptional analytical abilities, elevated emotional intelligence, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality are essential.
