Devises and executes the Pricing & Market Access (P&MA) strategy and operational roadmap for the country, conducting thorough competitive landscape analyses to empower the Head of Value Access in developing a robust market strategy.
Proactively tracks shifts in reimbursement and pricing trends within the designated market to assess potential risks and opportunities, enabling strategic actions to support the successful uptake of new product launches.
Conducting thorough market evaluations to identify existing and emerging access factors within designated markets, then developing persuasive value propositions to differentiate offerings against competing therapies.
Drives the development of the pricing strategy in collaboration with the SSA Head of Value & Access, leveraging market dynamics and demand trends to establish comprehensive P&MA requirements for both new and existing products.
Assists Key Account Managers (Dams) in developing strategic pricing initiatives by evaluating market conditions and adhering to decisions made by Country Heads and SSA strategies.
Collaborates with payers and key decision-makers involved in the technical assessment of pharmaceuticals to obtain valuable insights that inform strategic initiatives.
The position collaborates with the SSA Head to obtain and organize the necessary documentation for enrollment, specifically focusing on accounts requiring either a Global Value Dossier (GVD), health-economic models, or a value story.
Delivers training as required on Global and Local HER tools and models, as well as objection handling, to Key Account Managers (Dams) and cross-functional team members.
Provides assistance in developing and implementing advocacy strategies to advance the interests of Novartis priority brands and key assets within the designated market.
Engages in high-priority portfolio policy deliberations, collaborating with internal stakeholders to secure policy alignment and foster proactive engagement across the SSA.
Key metrics will be utilized to assess and track performance efficiency, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic goals. These indicators will provide quantifiable data to evaluate progress, productivity, and overall success in meeting established benchmarks. A bachelor’s degree in education, or a related field, is required for this position.
Ideal Background :
A relevant university degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, or Health Economics—or an equivalent qualification—is highly desirable.
Experience
With a minimum of five years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, you will bring a robust background in industry practices and regulatory standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of this dynamic field, ensuring alignment with both operational and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in market access strategies, compilation of reimbursement dossiers, external affairs management, advocacy initiatives, and pricing analysis is strongly preferred.
