Job Summary

We are in search of a highly skilled and meticulous Technical Design Officer to contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of automotive products and components.

The ideal candidate will prepare detailed technical drawings, support product development initiatives, perform comprehensive design analysis, and work closely with engineering and production teams to guarantee designs adhere to stringent quality, safety, and manufacturability standards.

Oversee key operational duties to ensure organizational efficiency, including managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of performance across all initiatives. Conduct regular assessments to evaluate progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Facilitate clear communication channels between stakeholders, departments, and leadership to align goals and streamline workflows. Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize productivity and mitigate risks. Monitor budget allocations and resource distribution to ensure cost-effective execution of projects while delivering measurable outcomes. Lead performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional growth opportunities for team members. Uphold compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards to safeguard organizational integrity.

Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring they remain current and accurate.

Contribute to the conceptualization and engineering of vehicle components, systems, and assemblies.

Develop and refine both two-dimensional and three-dimensional models with specialized Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

Facilitate the design, assessment, and verification of prototype systems to ensure their functionality, reliability, and adherence to specifications.

Perform design evaluations and propose enhancements to optimize both product functionality and manufacturing efficiency.

Work collaboratively with production, quality assurance, procurement, and engineering teams to verify that all design requirements are fulfilled.

Uphold adherence to corporate policies, automotive industry regulations, and mandatory safety protocols to maintain operational integrity and regulatory compliance.

Support the execution of engineering calculations, feasibility evaluations, and technical assessments.

Ensure meticulous tracking and upkeep of design modifications and project documentation to maintain accuracy.

Remain abreast of advancements in automotive technologies, novel materials, and evolving design trends.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in system design, architecture, and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are crucial. Additionally, familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git is preferred. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to mentor junior developers are valued.

A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in technical design, engineering design, or product development, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.

Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is essential, with demonstrated experience in industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CARIA, Crew, or comparable platforms.

Engineering drawing standards and manufacturing processes are areas in which you should possess a strong understanding.

Analytical, problem-solving, and technical abilities are essential for this role.

Proven aptitude for meticulous detail orientation and structured organizational proficiency.

Proficient communication abilities and a strong aptitude for collaborative work are essential.

Proven expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office applications is required.

Professional engineering certification may provide a competitive edge.
