We are in search of an energetic and outcome-focused Warehouse Supervisor to manage daily activities at our fulfillment center located in Lagos.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will oversee a team of warehouse associates to guarantee the rapid, precise, and secure fulfillment of e-commerce orders on behalf of Brenda’s merchant partners.

This position plays a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to dependable, technology-driven fulfillment processes executed punctually and consistently.

Oversee and execute critical job functions including managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and fostering a productive work environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency. Monitor performance metrics to identify trends, address inefficiencies, and implement data-driven improvements. Serve as a liaison between departments, facilitating clear communication and alignment on goals. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation to support operational consistency and regulatory adherence. Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and cost-control initiatives to optimize financial performance. Lead training initiatives, mentorship programs, and talent development strategies to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Operations management encompasses the strategic planning and execution of processes to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of an organization. This role involves overseeing daily operations, optimizing workflows, and implementing systems to enhance productivity while maintaining high-quality standards. Key responsibilities include managing teams, coordinating resources, and analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the position requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a keen focus on operational excellence to align with organizational goals and regulatory compliance.

Oversee the planning and execution of all warehouse operations related to inbound and outbound logistics, encompassing the receipt of goods, storage allocation, order fulfillment processes, packaging, and final shipment dispatch.

Ensure daily order fulfillment targets and service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met by identifying and addressing bottlenecks in a timely manner.

Accurately and efficiently process returns, damaged goods, and inventory adjustments in a timely manner.

Manage the implementation and utilization of Brenda’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate, real-time monitoring of inventory levels and timely order processing updates.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Proven track record in guiding team members toward achieving performance targets while maintaining high morale and professional development. Spearhead the organization, coordination, and motivation of a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring seamless operations across all shifts.

Perform performance evaluations, establish measurable objectives, and deliver hands-on coaching and development sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Build and nurture a culture characterized by accountability, efficiency, and precision, ensuring alignment with Brenda’s established operational standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records to ensure alignment with stock levels, while conducting regular audits to verify item counts and locations. Monitor discrepancies and implement corrective measures to uphold data integrity and operational efficiency.

Conduct routine cycle counts and comprehensive stock audits to ensure the accuracy and reliability of inventory records.

Investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records and implement corrective measures to ensure alignment.

Collaborate with merchant account managers to address stock-related inquiries and delivery complications.

Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and compliance regulations within the organization, maintaining a secure and compliant operational environment. Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure full compliance with legal and industry standards. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and accountability. Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to prevent incidents. Properly supervise the accurate handling, precise labeling, and secure storage of all inventory, with particular attention to fragile or high-value merchandise to maintain integrity and prevent damage or loss.

Lead safety briefings on a regular basis and enforce adherence to Brenda’s operational policies among all personnel.

Drives continuous enhancement of operational processes through systematic evaluation and implementation of improvements to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate overall performance standards. Identifies inefficiencies, analyzes workflows, and develops data-driven solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and sustainable results. Requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in process mapping tools, and experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to deliver measurable outcomes.

Analyze current warehouse workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies, then propose and implement strategic enhancements that boost operational throughput and minimize error rates.

Partner with the operations team to deploy industry-leading best practices throughout Brenda’s fulfillment network.

Prepare and analyze daily and weekly operational reports, then present key insights and findings to senior management for informed decision-making and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of professional experience in a similar role. Proficiency in data analysis, project management, and proficiency with industry-specific software are required. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. Additionally, the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail is critical. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and experience in a fast-paced environment are highly preferred.

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Additionally, candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a proven track record of delivering measurable results in prior roles. A Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.

Proficiency in utilizing e-commerce platforms and order management systems is essential.

Proven track record in logistics environments leveraging technology, preferably within startups or tech-driven operations.

Familiarity with lean warehouse methodologies or process improvement frameworks is required.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
