Job Summary
Harvest Feeds and Ago Processing Ltd is searching for a skilled and proficient Utility Engineer to manage the functionality, upkeep, and enhancement of utility systems across the facility. The preferred applicant must demonstrate advanced technical expertise in water treatment systems, boiler operations, and power generation and distribution to guarantee seamless and consistent plant performance.
Oversee a diverse range of critical tasks to ensure operational excellence and team success, including managing daily workflows, coordinating cross-functional projects, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. Lead and mentor team members by fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback to support their professional growth. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental objectives with broader company goals, ensuring seamless integration and execution of initiatives. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and report findings to stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making and facilitate continuous development. Uphold compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards while promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation.
Oversee the operation and upkeep of water treatment and distribution systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsible for managing boiler operations while guaranteeing safe and efficient functionality.
Oversee power generation and distribution systems to verify an uninterrupted energy supply.
Perform regular inspections and carry out preventive maintenance tasks on utility equipment to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Investigate and rectify malfunctions and operational disruptions related to utility systems.
Diligently uphold adherence to all safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory mandates to guarantee full compliance.
Document all utility operations and maintenance activities with precision to ensure comprehensive and reliable record-keeping.
Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless plant operations.
To uncover potential avenues for enhancing energy efficiency and reducing costs, conduct thorough assessments of current operations and systems to pinpoint areas where improvements can be made.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
Minimum five years of professional experience in utility management within manufacturing or processing facilities is required.
Seasoned professionals with hands-on involvement in water treatment systems, boiler operations, and power generation and distribution are sought after for this role. Applicants should demonstrate a proven track record in these specialized areas to ensure operational efficiency and system reliability.
Demonstrates exceptional ability to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions efficiently.
Proficient in implementing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Capable of effectively directing teams and thriving in high-pressure situations.
A strong ability to develop technical reports and maintenance records is required.

Obtained through a recognized engineering certification or membership in an appropriate professional organization.
Individuals with prior involvement in word-processing or manufacturing sectors will be considered for this opportunity. Familiarity with manufacturing processes is essential, and experience in the word-processing industry is highly advantageous.
Proficiency in energy management and utility optimization methodologies is essential.
