We are seeking a proactive individual to oversee daily operational tasks, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and deadlines are consistently met. Under the guidance of the Logistics and Supply Manager and in coordination with the Logistics Coordinator, the Logistics Assistant/Driver will oversee the maintenance and repair of MDM facilities while also operating MDM vehicles.

The incumbent will oversee the upkeep and organization of MDM facilities by performing a range of maintenance tasks, including servicing equipment, maintaining outdoor areas, assessing repair requirements, and addressing maintenance requests pertaining to electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, furniture, and other related areas. Additionally, the role involves operating MDM vehicles in accordance with established MDM protocols.

The successful applicant must demonstrate proficiency and technical expertise alongside strong problem-solving abilities. They should exhibit meticulous organization, well-developed general repair capabilities, and reliable driving skills. Attention to detail and robust physical endurance are essential attributes for this role.

Professionals in this role will systematically identify and analyze all technical faults, assess the scope of necessary repairs or interventions, and document findings to ensure comprehensive and accurate resolution.

Prepare cost projections for materials, parts, and components required for procurement.

To provide guidance on optimal repair methodologies that balance cost efficiency with high-quality outcomes.

Perform a wide range of repairs encompassing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety across all facilities.

Conducts an assessment to identify components requiring replacement and performs the replacements proactively to prevent adverse consequences.

Perform all repair tasks in accordance with globally recognized best practices.

Assist all contractors in fulfilling their on-site responsibilities and ensure seamless collaboration throughout their projects. Provide guidance and resources as needed to facilitate the effective completion of their assigned tasks within the premises.

All operations must be executed in strict adherence to established safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel and assets.

Oversee and document all repair and replacement activities, ensuring comprehensive inventory records are maintained and updated regularly. Prepare and distribute a detailed report of these activities on a biweekly basis to relevant stakeholders, facilitating transparency and informed decision-making.

Conduct regular weekly and daily inspections of all MDM properties to identify requirements and provide accurate reports as needed.

Overseeing inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of stock levels, availability, and movements. Implementing and maintaining efficient stock management systems to prevent shortages or excess inventory. Analyzing data to forecast demand and optimize procurement strategies for timely replenishment. Conducting regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies. Collaborating with procurement teams to align purchasing decisions with stock requirements and budget constraints. Identifying and addressing discrepancies or inefficiencies in stock handling processes to improve overall operational performance.

Verify and document incoming merchandise accurately, then securely store it according to established protocols, working closely with the Logistics and Supply Manager.

Consistently monitor stock levels through physical verification procedures.

Upon receipt of an order, verify the quantity of packages, inspect both the packaging and its contents, and promptly report any discrepancies—such as missing or damaged items—to the Logistics and Supply Manager.

Upon receiving the goods, promptly update the stock cards by documenting the receipt document’s reference number, then store the items according to the directives provided by the Logistics and Supply Manager.

Ensure that commonly purchased products remain consistently stocked in the retail location.

Ensure all items are meticulously organized, securely stored, clearly identified, and readily accessible while maintaining impeccable cleanliness and stringent security standards.

Driving vehicles while ensuring the safety and security of passengers and transported materials or equipment is a key responsibility.

The role requires strict adherence to MDM driving regulations, ensuring all operations comply with established safety protocols and guidelines. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of these regulations and possess the necessary certification. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate logs, conducting pre-trip inspections, and promptly reporting any deviations or incidents. Compliance with these standards is critical to minimizing risks and upholding operational integrity.

Adapting behavior and driving techniques to ensure the safety of passengers, MDM equipment, as well as other road users, including drivers and pedestrians.

Always adhere to the Nigerian Highway Code and comply strictly with all posted speed limits while operating the vehicle.

Employees must consistently wear safety belts while operating the vehicle and must ensure all passengers comply with this safety requirement.

You must possess a current and valid driver’s license, and it should be readily available for presentation during any unannounced inspections.

All necessary documents must be validated and renewed prior to their expiration dates, including conducting yearly road safety inspections and registering primary drivers with the Rental Company.

Responsible for ensuring the vehicle remains in optimal operational condition through regular maintenance and timely repairs, as needed.

Consistently inspecting the vehicle’s engine, oil levels, brake fluid, tire pressure, and windshield fluid is essential.

In the event of a technical issue or maintenance requirement, promptly notify the relevant supervisor to ensure timely resolution.

After receiving validation from the direct supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating or, when feasible, performing any required maintenance tasks.

The vehicle must be maintained in a pristine condition both internally and externally.

The vehicle must be equipped with all required tools and materials, including essential items such as spare tires, air lifts, belts, and ropes, all of which must be in proper working condition before deployment.

Each time the fuel tank reaches half of its total capacity, it is the responsibility of the assigned personnel to ensure the tank is refilled promptly and efficiently.

Oversee additional duties as needed to ensure comprehensive operational support and efficiency across all assigned functions.

Demonstrate adaptability in fulfilling assigned responsibilities with a willingness to adjust to changing priorities and operational needs.

Execute any supplementary tasks as designated by the Logistics and Supply Manager upon request.

Adhere strictly to Master Data Management (MDM) policies and guidelines.
