Overview

As a Trainee Accountant, you will deliver essential support to both internal colleagues and external clients, primarily collaborating with our Accounting team.

Your responsibilities will encompass supporting daily financial operations, including tasks such as data entry, monthly VAT returns, management account preparation, year-end financial statements, and tax return filings.

As a trainee Accountant, you will receive comprehensive organizational support, including access to essential resources and learning tools, to facilitate your progression toward becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Our Trainee Accountants are required to achieve full Chartered Accountant qualification within a three-year timeframe of employment.

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of duties, including conducting thorough research, analyzing data, and preparing detailed reports to support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Additionally, you will oversee project timelines, monitor progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in relevant software tools, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Provides support in the preparation of financial and management accounts for the group.

Facilitating the alignment of client expectations with project timelines and deliverables, while ensuring all deadlines are met efficiently and effectively.

We provide support in compiling and organizing documentation essential for completing both individual and corporate tax filings.

Conduct comprehensive bookkeeping functions, such as recording journal entries and reconciling ledgers to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.

Preparing and maintaining client records with precision through specialized accountancy software applications.

Compilation of value-added tax declarations and the preparation of management accounting reports are required.

Providing administrative support involves greeting and meeting clients, organizing and maintaining files, handling telephone inquiries, and assisting the Accounts team in meeting established deadlines as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of formal education and practical experience, along with a strong set of technical and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant software, tools, or systems is essential, as are analytical abilities and problem-solving capabilities. Previous experience in a similar role or industry is typically required, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey complex information effectively.

A degree in Accounting or Finance, or partial completion of recognized Accounting Professional Qualifications, would be considered a significant advantage.
