Job Summary
We’re looking for a proactive, results-driven Sales Manager / Sales Executive to spearhead sales growth for our tile products in Nigeria’s building materials sector. The successful applicant should demonstrate deep expertise in tile products, dealer management, contractor relations, and market expansion strategies.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards. Provide strategic guidance and support to team members to foster collaboration and achieve organizational objectives. Develop and implement effective processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance. Monitor progress, identify potential challenges, and proactively address issues to maintain smooth operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align efforts and drive consistent results. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation for all activities.
Craft and execute strategic sales initiatives designed to consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
Responsibilities include actively marketing and distributing an extensive assortment of floor tiles, wall tiles, porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles, and complementary building materials to potential customers.
Evaluate and cultivate emerging business prospects across the building materials and construction sector to drive growth and expand market reach.
Develop and extend dealer, distributor, and contractor networks within designated geographic regions to drive market expansion and strengthen supply chain relationships.
Generate leads by conducting market visits, tracking projects, leveraging referrals, and fostering customer engagement.
Develop and nurture robust partnerships with dealers, distributors, contractors, builders, architects, engineers, and construction firms to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual growth.
Consistently conduct on-site visits to dealers’ locations and project sites to observe product applications and assess evolving market dynamics.
Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to uphold exceptional service standards and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Educate clients about the features, advantages, designs, and proper application techniques of our products to ensure they make well-informed purchasing decisions.
Compile regular sales reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to monitor progress in relation to established targets.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders from logistics, warehouse operations, accounts, and customer service departments to ensure seamless workflow and alignment across all teams.
Oversee the tracking of inventory levels and ensure the timely processing of customer orders.
Visit trade exhibitions, participate in industry events, and engage in marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and foster business relationships.
Perform on-site evaluations of project locations to identify and pursue new business prospects.
Conduct promotional initiatives aimed at enhancing brand recognition and driving product adoption among target audiences.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications: a minimum of three years of progressive experience in a related field, proficiency in industry-standard software tools, and strong interpersonal skills for client interactions. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required, though advanced degrees may be preferred. Familiarity with compliance regulations and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines are essential. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset are also mandatory.
A minimum requirement includes an HND or B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field.
With a minimum of five years of proven sales expertise in tiles, building materials, ceramics, sanitary wares, or related product categories, the ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of success in the field.
Possesses in-depth expertise in the Nigerian building materials and tiles sector, including an extensive understanding of market dynamics, trends, and key players.
Skilled professionals should be well-versed in tile specifications, design methodologies, practical applications, and current market trends.
You should possess a strong understanding of competitor products as well as their market positioning strategies.
Proven ability to communicate effectively, negotiate adeptly, and deliver compelling presentations.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite.
