The Territory Development Officer (TO) spearheads revenue expansion in leases and asset financing by conducting systematic market research, cultivating a strategic pipeline, generating high-value leads, and meticulously tracking competitor actions.

This position is a results-oriented, field-based role centered on business development, demanding keen commercial insight, systematic planning, and an extensive grasp of the designated market. It operates under rigorous KPI standards and serves as a pivotal driver in growing the company’s client network and loan portfolio.

Oversee the execution of core duties to ensure organizational objectives are met, including managing daily operations, implementing strategic initiatives, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and drive continuous improvement across all business functions. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making and resource allocation. Lead project teams, delegate responsibilities, and foster a culture of accountability while ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices. Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication, resolve conflicts, and promote collaboration. Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints, regulatory requirements, and quality standards while identifying opportunities for innovation and cost efficiencies. Develop and mentor team members through coaching, feedback, and professional development programs to cultivate a high-performing workforce.

Market Analysis and Regional Insights: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of market dynamics and competitive landscapes to identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks within assigned territories. This role requires a keen analytical mindset, proficiency in data interpretation, and the ability to translate complex findings into actionable strategic recommendations. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, a solid grasp of statistical methodologies, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in market research or a closely related field. Additional qualifications include familiarity with industry-specific tools, advanced Excel proficiency, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Perform ongoing market research across the designated geographic region to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.

Conduct thorough analysis of regional leasing and asset finance demand for the company’s offerings, evaluating client profiles, economic trends, and unexplored market opportunities.

Map out all existing 3-Wheeler Tricycle parks within the designated geographic area, then identify and document the respective Branch Chairmen and Park Chairmen assigned to each location. Additionally, conduct an analysis to locate and record key clusters of potential clients, including individual operators, small businesses, and traders.

Develop and oversee the creation of robust pipeline strategies, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and fostering sustainable growth through effective resource allocation and performance optimization. Manage cross-functional teams to drive pipeline execution, monitor key performance indicators, and implement data-driven improvements to enhance operational efficiency and revenue generation.

Identify prospective borrowers who exhibit robust repayment capabilities, consistent income and expenditure patterns, and a reliable guarantor or collateral.

Develop and sustain a pipeline comprising at least 100 leads, ensuring that a minimum of 30 of these are ‘hot’ leads with a high likelihood of securing financing approval.

Categorize 100 leads into hot, warm, and cold classifications by evaluating credit readiness, financing requirements, and urgency levels.

Daily, the pipeline must be updated to confirm that comprehensive data for every lead and guarantor has been collected and verified. This includes ensuring all required details are accurately documented and readily accessible for review.

This role involves gathering, evaluating, and interpreting data related to industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and emerging market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include tracking competitors’ product launches, pricing adjustments, marketing campaigns, and technological advancements while assessing their potential impact on the organization’s market share and profitability. Additionally, the position requires synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations to enhance competitive positioning and mitigate risks associated with market shifts.

Continuously track and record competitor actions across the designated region, documenting key developments such as pricing adjustments, marketing initiatives, product launches, and operational changes.

Develop and execute strategic sales, marketing, and promotional initiatives and campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align campaigns with business objectives, ensuring measurable results through data-driven insights and performance metrics. Utilize market research to identify target audiences, trends, and opportunities, while optimizing promotional tactics to maximize ROI and market penetration.

Required ualifications

G Experience:

A high school completion certificate is mandatory, while a diploma or degree in marketing, business, finance, or a related field is considered an advantageous qualification.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of two to five years of hands-on experience in field sales, business development, microfinance, asset finance, or comparable industries.

Extensive background in cultivating and overseeing dynamic sales pipelines is essential.
