Job Summary

Harvest Feeds and Ago Processing Ltd is in search of a skilled and proficient Utility Engineer to manage the functionality, upkeep, and enhancement of utility systems at the facility. The preferred candidate should demonstrate extensive technical expertise in water treatment systems, boiler operations, and power generation/distribution, ensuring seamless and efficient plant operations.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, compliance, and performance across departments. Collaborate with senior management to align initiatives with long-term business objectives, ensuring measurable growth and sustainability. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize workflows and resource allocation. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while mentoring team members and cultivating high-performing talent. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, executives, and frontline employees to facilitate seamless communication and alignment of priorities.

Oversee the operation and upkeep of water treatment and distribution infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsible for managing boiler operations to verify adherence to safety standards and operational efficiency.

Oversee power generation and distribution systems to maintain an uninterrupted supply of electricity, verifying consistent performance and addressing any deviations promptly.

Perform regular inspections and carry out preventive maintenance tasks on utility equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Investigate and rectify malfunctions and operational challenges associated with utility systems efficiently and effectively.

Maintain adherence to all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards to ensure full compliance with relevant mandates.

Ensure precise documentation of utility operations and maintenance tasks is maintained at all times.

Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless plant operations.

Evaluate potential avenues to enhance energy efficiency and lower operational expenditures.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.

With at least five years of hands-on experience in utility management within manufacturing or processing facilities, candidates should demonstrate a strong background in overseeing critical utility systems.

Seasoned professionals with hands-on experience in water treatment systems, boiler operations, and power generation or distribution are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency through relevant work in these specialized areas.

Capable of diagnosing issues efficiently and implementing effective solutions with a methodical approach. Demonstrates analytical thinking to address technical challenges and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Proficient in preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies, with a strong understanding of their implementation and impact on operational efficiency.

Demonstrated capability to effectively manage and guide teams while maintaining performance standards in high-pressure environments.

Demonstrates expertise in drafting and compiling technical reports and maintenance documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to established standards.

Individuals should possess prior experience in the word-processing or manufacturing sectors, with a demonstrated understanding of operational processes within these industries.
