Job Summary

The Value Chain Officer will spearhead deposit mobilization, customer acquisition, and portfolio growth by strategically identifying, onboarding, and managing high-value distributors, dealers, and businesses within designated value chains.

This position plays a key role in maintaining customer loyalty while providing customized banking solutions to meet strategic business goals.

Oversee critical operational duties encompassing team leadership, project execution, and strategic planning to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance productivity and maintain high performance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive sustainable growth. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress and make data-driven decisions that align with company objectives.

Proactively seek out and engage high-potential distributors, dealers, and enterprise partners, facilitating their seamless integration into the designated value chain ecosystems.

Facilitate the expansion of deposit acquisition and increase liability balances among customers within the value chain.

Provide assistance to branches and Relationship Managers in executing customer acquisition and retention strategies.

Develop new business opportunities through on-site visits and cultivate enduring partnerships with key customers.

Oversee the evaluation of portfolio performance and compile regular business reports to track progress and outcomes.

Analyze market dynamics to uncover potential opportunities and systematically track competitor strategies and market positioning.

Ensure adherence to the Bank’s established policies, procedures, and all applicable regulatory obligations.

The position requires diligent monitoring and evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge operational effectiveness, drive strategic decision-making, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. This role involves regular analysis of KPIs to identify trends, measure progress against targets, and assess overall performance. Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or auditing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities are required to effectively convey financial insights to stakeholders. Familiarity with GAAP, regulatory compliance, and budgeting processes is highly desirable. The ideal applicant should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, the capacity to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

A Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum grade of Lower Credit or Second Class Lower Division, is required.

Applicants must not exceed 29 years of age at the time of submission.

Candidates must have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYC) program.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities are essential.

Proficient in banking products, value chain financing, and credit analysis.

Expertise in analytical reasoning and problem resolution is essential.

Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding business objectives consistently.

Compensation for this opportunity includes a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. The role requires a minimum of three years in a related field, proficiency in industry-standard software, and strong analytical abilities. Key responsibilities involve managing project timelines, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Compensation is set at two hundred thousand Naira per month.
