The State Coordinator will spearhead Extension Africa’s initiatives in Sarawak State by establishing and mobilizing a robust rural stakeholder network. This high-impact, results-oriented position blends hands-on operational leadership with strategic stakeholder engagement, digital extension implementation, and revenue growth initiatives. Positioned at the nexus of agricultural advancement and market-driven solutions, this role is tailored for individuals who excel in fast-paced field settings and can consistently achieve scalable, quantifiable outcomes.

Lead, execute, and oversee strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, driving growth, and optimizing performance within the organization. Develop and implement comprehensive plans, policies, and procedures to ensure seamless workflows, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align objectives, share insights, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership to support informed decision-making. Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of initiatives. Serve as a primary liaison with external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and regulatory bodies, to cultivate strong relationships and ensure mutual business objectives are met.

Recruit, onboard, and activate Farmer Business Associates (FBA’s) as well as additional rural stakeholders across designated operational clusters.

Develop community-based frameworks designed to facilitate the efficient distribution of inputs, consolidate outputs, and deliver expert guidance at the grassroots level.

Lead the statewide implementation of Extension Africa’s AI-powered Extension Advisory System, Hiroki, ensuring a seamless and effective deployment across all regions.

To facilitate the development and implementation of Training of Trainers (Tot) programs, farmer training initiatives, and ongoing field coaching sessions, ensuring comprehensive knowledge transfer and skill enhancement among participants.

Identify and establish partnerships with external suppliers, including providers of input materials, mechanization solutions, and financial services.

Develop and sustain strong partnerships with ADP’s, governmental bodies, and development collaborators to foster mutual growth and cooperation.

Generate revenue by fostering partnerships, delivering services, and expanding activities in rural markets.

Ensure all field activities are accompanied by precise and prompt data collection, and submit periodic reports to the RED Coordinator.

Responsibilities include managing the daily execution of field operations, with a focus on coordinating schedules, optimizing logistics, and strategically deploying teams to ensure efficiency and productivity.

Seeking a motivated individual with a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant field, a bachelor’s degree in [specific field], and proficiency in [specific software/tools].
