Job Summary

A highly skilled and reliable Bricklayer is needed to strengthen our Maintenance Department by contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of factory buildings, structures, and infrastructure.

The Bricklayer will construct, repair, and maintain brick, block, and concrete structures, including floors, walls, drains, and other masonry work within the factory premises.

This position collaborates with the Maintenance Team to uphold the operational safety, functionality, and upkeep of production facilities.

Oversee a range of critical tasks to ensure operational excellence, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining high standards of quality. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and drive innovation within the organization. Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration, ensuring alignment with company goals. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while mentoring team members to achieve their professional development objectives. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity.

Construct walls, partitions, drains, platforms, and other structural components within the factory using bricks, blocks, and concrete materials.

Perform repairs on deteriorated masonry, plastering, tiling, and concrete structures within the facility to restore structural integrity and aesthetic appearance.

Build and preserve flooring, drainage frameworks, foundations, and structural supports to ensure durability and functionality.

Analyze building plans, measurements, and technical specifications to support maintenance and renovation initiatives.

Prepare mortar and concrete mixes in strict accordance with established specifications while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Provide support for renovation, expansion, and civil maintenance initiatives throughout the factory premises.

Conduct thorough examinations of buildings and structures to detect defects that necessitate repair or reinforcement measures.

Ensure all tools, equipment, and workspaces are maintained in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner.

Ensure that all tasks are performed in strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and protocols.

Work collaboratively with maintenance technicians, engineers, and external contractors throughout project execution and planned shutdowns to ensure alignment and efficient progress.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team, requiring a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, along with proficiency in industry-standard software and tools. Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Duties include conducting thorough research, analyzing complex data, and preparing detailed reports to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role demands excellent communication abilities to present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

A minimum of SSC, Trade Test Certificate, Technical Certificate, or an equivalent qualification in Masonry, Bricklaying, Building Technology, or a related discipline is required.

Professional trade certification is highly beneficial.

Proficient in interpreting fundamental construction blueprints and accurately assessing measurements.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a similar role. Applicants must possess prior exposure to project coordination or administrative support functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. Familiarity with industry-specific software or tools is advantageous. Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential. A proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities is expected.

With a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in bricklaying and masonry within manufacturing, industrial, construction, or maintenance settings, the ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation to the role.

Preferred candidates will possess prior experience within manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments.

Proven expertise in plastering, block laying, concrete work, tiling, and structural repairs is required, with hands-on experience in each discipline.

Candidates are required to either reside in Sag amu, Gun State, or demonstrate a willingness to relocate promptly. The ability to maintain proximity to the factory is essential.

Able to work weekends and extended hours as needed to accommodate maintenance tasks.

The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is provided, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least five years of progressive experience in a similar capacity.

A monthly remuneration of ₦150,000 is offered for this position.
