This position oversees the quality, efficiency, and site management of all concrete construction activities, encompassing culverts, drainage structures, headwalls, aprons, and additional reinforced concrete components.
The ideal candidate will oversee concrete crews on-site and be responsible for ensuring all tasks are executed in strict adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and QA/QC standards, encompassing reinforcement, formwork, concrete placement, testing, and curing.
Requirements:
Holders of an OND, Technical Certificate, or City & Guilds qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering are eligible to apply. This credential must be formally recognized in the field of civil or structural works.
With a minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in the role of Concrete Foreman, specifically within civil or road construction projects, you will bring a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence to our team. Your deep expertise in managing concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes—coupled with your ability to supervise crews and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards—will be instrumental in driving project success.
With extensive practical expertise in reinforced concrete construction, including culverts, drainage structures, and structural concrete applications.
Proficiency in formwork techniques, rebar installation methods, slump testing protocols, cube sampling procedures, and concrete curing practices is required.
Proficiency in interpreting structural drawings is essential, along with the capability to oversee concrete installation crews at the job site, comprising ten or more workers.
