Job Summary
We invite applications from skilled and meticulous Technical Design Officers to contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of automotive products and components.
The ideal candidate will prepare technical drawings, support product development initiatives, perform design analysis, and work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure designs adhere to quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties to ensure operational excellence, including strategic planning, team leadership, and performance monitoring. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as a primary liaison for stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication. Represent the organization in external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and industry events. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry guidelines, and organizational policies. Manage budgets, allocate resources, and optimize expenditures to support financial sustainability.
Develop and revise engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation as required.
Collaborate on the conceptualization and engineering of vehicle components, systems, and assemblies to meet performance and safety standards.
Develop and refine 2D and 3D models employing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to meet project specifications and enhance design precision.
Assist in the creation, evaluation, and verification of prototype systems to ensure they meet specified requirements and performance standards.
Conduct thorough design reviews to identify opportunities for enhancing product performance and manufacturability, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Work collaboratively with production, quality assurance, procurement, and engineering teams to guarantee adherence to design specifications.
Guarantee adherence to corporate policies, automotive legislation, and established safety protocols to uphold operational integrity and regulatory conformity.
Provide support in performing engineering calculations, feasibility assessments, and technical evaluations.
Ensure meticulous documentation and precise tracking of all design modifications and project-related records.
Continuously monitor advancements in automotive technologies, innovative materials, and evolving design trends to maintain expertise in the field.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics, is required for this role. Additionally, a minimum of two years of professional experience in a related discipline is necessary. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also required. Familiarity with data analysis, machine learning, or software development frameworks would be advantageous. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting are expected.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is required.
We seek candidates with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in technical design, engineering design, or product development, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
Skilled in utilizing CAD software platforms including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CARIA, Crew, and comparable design solutions.
Proficiency in engineering drawing standards and manufacturing processes is required.
Exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning, problem resolution, and technical competencies is essential.
Proven capability to maintain meticulous accuracy and strong organizational skills.
Effective interpersonal communication and collaborative abilities are essential.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
Candidates holding a recognized engineering certification will be given preference during the selection process.
