Job Summary
We are in search of a skilled and meticulous Technical Design Officer to contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of automotive products and components.
The ideal candidate will prepare precise technical drawings, support product development initiatives, perform thorough design analysis, and coordinate with engineering and production teams to guarantee designs adhere to stringent quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
Key responsibilities include spearheading project management initiatives to ensure timely and efficient completion of deliverables, fostering cross-functional collaboration to align team efforts with organizational objectives, and implementing strategic solutions to address operational challenges. Additionally, the role involves overseeing budgetary compliance, monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement, and maintaining strict adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Develop and maintain accurate engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate on the design and engineering of vehicle components, systems, and assemblies to meet specified requirements and performance standards.
Develop and refine both two-dimensional and three-dimensional models through the application of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Assist in the creation, examination, and verification of prototype systems to ensure functionality and reliability meet established standards.
Convene design reviews to assess current product specifications and provide actionable recommendations aimed at optimizing both performance and manufacturability.
Work collaboratively with production, quality assurance, procurement, and engineering teams to guarantee adherence to design specifications.
To guarantee adherence to company standards, automotive regulations, and safety requirements, meticulous attention to detail and strict compliance are essential. This role demands a thorough understanding of applicable laws and internal policies to uphold operational integrity and mitigate risks effectively.
Provide support in performing engineering computations, feasibility assessments, and technical evaluations.
Ensure meticulous documentation of all design modifications and project-related files, maintaining comprehensive and precise records throughout each phase of development.
Monitor advancements in automotive technologies, materials, and design trends to ensure current awareness and informed decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology is required. Minimum of three years of professional experience in a related role is necessary. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking are crucial. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are needed to collaborate effectively. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities is required.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
Seeking candidates with two to four years of hands-on experience in technical design, engineering design, or product development, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
Required is expertise in CAD software platforms, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CARIA, Crew, or equivalent design applications.
Demonstrates proficiency in engineering drawing standards and manufacturing processes.
Exceptional proficiency in analytical thinking, problem resolution, and technical expertise is required.
The role necessitates strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate efficiently within a team environment.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office applications is required.
Professional engineering certification is highly beneficial.
