Position Summary:
A meticulous and seasoned Tax Accountant is needed to oversee tax compliance, reporting, and strategic planning initiatives.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in guaranteeing precise tax filings, upholding adherence to applicable tax laws, and advancing the organization’s financial goals through strategic tax management.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives to drive efficiency, productivity, and measurable outcomes. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to foster innovation, streamline processes, and enhance team performance. Lead project planning, resource allocation, and risk assessment to achieve timely and cost-effective deliverables. Maintain rigorous compliance with policies, regulations, and quality benchmarks while upholding accountability for results. Serve as a key liaison to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to support informed decision-making.
Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns in strict adherence to current tax laws and regulatory mandates.
Ensure all PAYE, VAT, WHT, pension, NS ITF, NHF, IT F, and other statutory deductions are remitted promptly and accurately in compliance with regulatory timelines.
Ensure precise maintenance of tax records and documentation to facilitate audits and comply with regulatory requirements.
Ensure accuracy in tax account reconciliation and maintain proper processing of tax-related transactions within the accounting framework.
Monitor tax legislation updates and provide guidance to management regarding compliance obligations and potential tax consequences.
Collaborate with tax authorities, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to address tax-related inquiries and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Assist in the compilation of yearly financial statements and the development of audit schedules specifically pertaining to taxation.
Provide support for tax planning efforts designed to enhance tax efficiency while maintaining full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Candidates must meet specific qualifications and requirements to be considered for this role.
