Job Summary
A prominent logistics and terminal operations firm is in search of a seasoned and proactive Maintenance Team Lead to supervise the upkeep, dependability, and functional efficiency of heavy lifting machinery—such as cranes, reach stackers, and empty container handlers.
Oversee a range of critical tasks, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to company standards. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide progress updates, and address any concerns promptly. Oversee and direct the maintenance team tasked with servicing lifting and material handling equipment.
Develop and execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for cranes, forklifts, reach stackers, empty handlers, and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Implement strategic maintenance planning to optimize equipment availability and reduce downtime effectively.
Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Monitor equipment functionality and evaluate performance metrics to identify potential enhancements that will bolster reliability and operational efficiency.
Guarantee strict adherence to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) maintenance guidelines and established operational protocols.
Oversee the scheduling, execution, and completion of repair, servicing, and parts replacement tasks.
Ensure meticulous documentation of maintenance records, equipment history, and performance reports with precision and consistency.
Oversee maintenance budgets and ensure the efficient allocation of resources to maximize cost-effectiveness.
You will be responsible for enforcing compliance with HSE policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and equipment manufacturers as needed to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is required.
A minimum of six to eight years of direct maintenance experience with cranes, empty handlers, reach stackers, and related machinery is required.
Experienced in servicing and diagnosing issues with cranes, forklifts, reach stackers, empty handlers, and comparable terminal machinery.
Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, and mechanical systems with a comprehensive understanding of their operation and maintenance.
Supervisory or team leadership experience in a prior role is a prerequisite for this position.
Must possess the capacity to analyze and comprehend technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
Proven ability to analyze complex issues, devise effective solutions, and execute well-structured plans with meticulous organization.
Maintains a strong command of maintenance reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Proficiency in safety regulations applicable to the operation and upkeep of lifting equipment is required.
