As a Pension Administrator, you will contribute to the Finance team’s Continuous Improvement efforts by aligning and advancing the improvement initiatives across Process, Data, Systems, and People—the foundational pillars of Operational Excellence.
What you’ll be doing
Responsible for overseeing pension administration and ensuring smooth operational workflows, this role manages plan enrollments, benefit calculations, and compliance with regulatory standards. Duties include maintaining accurate records, processing claims, and collaborating with financial teams to uphold plan integrity. Strong knowledge of pension regulations, attention to detail, and proficiency with pension administration systems are required. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with participants, HR departments, and external stakeholders to resolve inquiries and provide guidance.
Perform periodic existence verification checks for approximately 4,200 pensioners.
Administer all pension-related activities comprehensively, interfacing with Pensioner Association offices nationwide to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
Ensure all pensioner requests, inquiries, and complaints are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Collaborate closely with the IT department to implement and maintain a high-performing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
Oversee the ongoing maintenance and content updates for the SNCPA website, guaranteeing its information remains current and accurate at all times.
Provide assistance in executing annual pensioner surveys and facilitating quarterly pensioner engagement sessions.

Foster strong, productive collaborations with both internal and external stakeholders, such as PEN COM, Shell HR, and Pensioner Associations.
We are tasked with fulfilling contractual obligations and overseeing reporting requirements as part of this role. This involves ensuring timely and accurate submission of all necessary documentation, maintaining compliance with established standards, and addressing any discrepancies or issues that may arise. Additionally, we will be responsible for preparing and distributing various reports to stakeholders, analyzing data to identify trends or insights, and collaborating with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential for success in this position.
Serve as the designated Contract Holder responsible for overseeing the annual calendar production and distribution processes, as well as administering service contracts designed to enhance the value propositions for pensioners.
Oversee vendor and contract performance to ensure adherence to CMCP requirements.
Prepare and file recurring regulatory reports with PEN COM in accordance with established deadlines and submission protocols.
What you bring
A minimum of eight years of professional experience in a relevant field is required, along with a degree in Administration, Social Sciences, or a related discipline; possessing a postgraduate qualification is highly advantageous.
Demonstrated expertise in overseeing Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, coupled with an in-depth understanding of PEN COM regulations, guidelines, and circulars, is essential.
Skilled in fostering meaningful connections and demonstrating deep empathy when engaging with elderly pensioners in delicate circumstances.
Exhibits a strong commercial acumen by assessing supplier offerings, enhancing cost efficiency and service standards, and driving outcomes through strategic supplier and stakeholder collaboration.
Proficient in contracting methodologies, particularly CMCP, with a robust ability to negotiate, influence stakeholders, and manage relationships effectively.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential, with proven capability to perform efficiently amid ambiguous situations, high-pressure scenarios, or emotionally charged environments.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, both internally and externally, while fostering strong partnerships to enhance service excellence and drive ongoing improvements.
