As a Pension Administrator, your role involves contributing to the Finance team’s Continuous Improvement initiatives, aligning process, data, systems, and people enhancements as the fundamental pillars of Operational Excellence.
What you’ll be doing
Pension administration and operational management involve overseeing and executing key processes related to pension plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate records. This role focuses on managing pension fund contributions, processing claims, and distributing benefits to eligible participants. Responsibilities may include collaborating with actuarial teams to assess plan viability, preparing financial reports, and addressing inquiries from members or beneficiaries. A strong understanding of pension laws, financial regulations, and data management systems is essential, along with proficiency in analytical tools to evaluate plan performance and identify areas for improvement.
Perform systematic eligibility confirmation for approximately 4,200 pension recipients.
Offer comprehensive administrative oversight for all pension-related affairs, which encompasses coordinating and collaborating with Pensioner Association branches nationwide.
Proactively manage the resolution of pensioner requests, inquiries, and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
Collaborate with the IT department to implement and oversee a high-performing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, ensuring its seamless integration and optimal functionality.
Oversee the ongoing maintenance and content updates for the SNCPA website to ensure information remains current and accurate at all times.
Provide assistance in executing annual pensioner surveys and facilitating quarterly engagement sessions for pensioners.

Foster strong, productive partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, such as PEN COM, Shell HR, and Pensioner Associations.
The position entails managing contractual obligations and overseeing reporting requirements, ensuring all agreements are accurately documented, executed, and monitored. Key duties include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as verifying compliance with legal and organizational standards. Additionally, the role involves preparing, analyzing, and submitting timely reports to stakeholders, maintaining meticulous records, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes. Strong attention to detail, proficiency in contract management software, and the ability to interpret complex regulations are essential for success in this role.
Serve as the Contract Holder responsible for overseeing the annual calendar production and distribution, as well as managing other service contracts designed to enhance pensioner value propositions.
Ensure vendor and contract performance aligns with CMCP standards and requirements.
Draft, finalize, and file regulatory reports on a recurring basis for submission to PEN COM.
What you bring
A minimum of eight years of pertinent experience is required, along with a degree in Administration, Social Sciences, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification is considered advantageous.
Demonstrated expertise in the administration of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, coupled with an in-depth understanding of PEN COM regulations, guidelines, and circulars is required.
Proven capability in interpersonal communication, with a particular strength in building rapport and demonstrating empathy toward elderly pensioners, even in delicate circumstances.
With a proven commercial acumen, you will assess supplier offerings, enhance cost efficiency and service standards, and drive outcomes collaboratively through suppliers and key stakeholders.
A solid understanding of contracting methodologies (CMCP) is essential, coupled with proven proficiency in negotiation, influence, and stakeholder engagement.
Proficient in both written and spoken English, with a demonstrated capability to communicate clearly and confidently in ambiguous, high-pressure, or emotionally charged situations.
Exceptional business partnering capabilities are required, fostering collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders while prioritizing exceptional service delivery and ongoing enhancement.
Skilled in utilizing digital and IT solutions to enhance service delivery and elevate the experience of pensioners.
