We are actively recruiting skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineers to strengthen our Retail Team.
The ideal candidate will conduct thorough inspections of diverse vehicles, including automobiles, commercial trucks, and other mobile equipment.
The candidate will conduct thorough inspections of both the interior and exterior of vehicles, evaluating their overall condition. Additionally, they will assess the functionality of critical systems, including the engine, transmission, steering, brakes, air conditioning, and other vehicle components.
Additionally, the incumbent will be tasked with explaining these provisions to clients interested in selling their vehicles.

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using specialized scanning equipment to accurately assess their operational status and compliance with standards.
Thorough inspection of all interior and exterior vehicle components to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
A thorough inspection of the engine, transmission, brake system, steering and suspension components, air conditioning unit, and all other vehicle systems is conducted.
Perform comprehensive test drives on vehicles to evaluate performance during inspections, covering both manual and automatic transmission systems.
Facilitate clear and professional discussions with the seller regarding the vehicle’s condition to support informed negotiation efforts.
Established procedures and policies are consistently adhered to and followed in all operations and tasks performed.
Perform remote assessments for local automotive dealerships as designated.
Compile comprehensive inspection reports detailing findings for each vehicle reviewed.
Report any vehicles displaying questionable odometer readings or identification numbers to the supervisor immediately, including instances where such numbers are missing or appear altered.
Ensure the work area, tools, equipment, and official forms are consistently maintained in a neat, orderly, and efficient condition.
Foster and sustain productive professional relationships with the public, customers, colleagues, and management.
Safely and in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations, operate a vehicle while performing job duties.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. At least three years of experience in software development, preferably with expertise in Python, Java, or C++. Proficiency in database management systems such as SQL or NoSQL is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is highly desirable. Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively in team settings are necessary.
Candidates must hold an HND or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering. Alternatively, OND holders, graduates from other disciplines, or Mechanics with relevant experience and expertise in the mechanical or automotive industry may also be considered.
A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in vehicle diagnosis, inspection, or repair is required.
Proficient in operating vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions is a requirement.
Proficient in the most recent advancements in automotive repair techniques and adherence to industry-leading best practices.
Possesses comprehensive expertise in automotive mechanics, including an in-depth understanding of diverse vehicle models and their specifications.
Proven ability to accurately identify and resolve vehicle malfunctions through practical diagnostic procedures, encompassing both fundamental and sophisticated troubleshooting techniques.
Proficiency in operating vehicle scanning equipment is essential.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with colleagues.
Proficient in computer operations and applications is required.
Proficiency in locating vehicle identification numbers (Wins) and interpreting odometer readings is essential.
Proficient in interpreting odometer readings or swiftly acquiring this skill, along with the capacity to identify irregularities in such measurements.
Proximity to the central office will be considered a valuable asset.
