Job Summary
An accomplished and forward-thinking Senior Procurement Specialist is required to lead and streamline procurement initiatives, foster supplier relationships, and optimize supply chain performance. The preferred applicant must demonstrate deep sector expertise, exceptional bargaining abilities, and a demonstrated history of successfully procuring oil and gas equipment and specialized technical materials.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation, streamline processes, and drive sustainable growth. Monitor progress through performance metrics, providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership. Manage stakeholder relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving escalated issues with professionalism and urgency. We are seeking to identify, assess, and select suitable vendors and suppliers through a rigorous evaluation process to ensure alignment with our organizational standards and objectives.
Proactively liaise with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers to obtain detailed quotations and competitive pricing information.
Develop and oversee Requests for Quotation (RFQs), perform comprehensive bid evaluations, and maintain accurate contract documentation.
Responsibilities include overseeing the acquisition of equipment, materials, and services to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Ensure the supplier database is consistently maintained and updated in a timely manner.
Source, evaluate, and integrate reliable suppliers and OEMs by leveraging strategic procurement methods.
Cultivate and nurture robust partnerships with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual growth.
Guarantee that all procurement operations adhere to established company policies and relevant industry standards.
Contribute to efforts aimed at enhancing inventory management, streamlining logistics operations, and optimizing supply chain processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Bachelor of Science degree or Higher National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable discipline is required.
A minimum of five years of procurement experience in the EPCI or Oil & Gas sector is required.
Proficiency in utilizing Aria Enterprise Procurement (EP) is essential for this role.
Demonstrated success in procuring oil and gas equipment, materials, and specialized technical services is required.
Requires exceptional negotiation, analytical, and vendor management capabilities to drive successful outcomes and foster strategic partnerships.
Maintaining a high standard of professionalism, demonstrating proactive behavior, operating with efficiency, and exhibiting meticulous attention to detail are essential qualities for this role.
