Professionals will dismantle components, meticulously clean surfaces, and refurbish seating areas. Additionally, they will replace worn springs, bellows, and valve O-rings, ensuring optimal performance for brands including Crosby, Anderson Greenwood, Laser, and Harris.
Perform immediate emergency repairs during unexpected shutdowns to mitigate the risk of incurring flaring penalties.
Responsible for executing comprehensive testing protocols and ensuring certification compliance across all relevant products or systems, this role verifies functionality, performance, and adherence to industry standards. Collaborates closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to identify defects, validate fixes, and document test results with precision. Maintains detailed records of testing procedures, outcomes, and any deviations encountered during evaluation phases. Requires expertise in test methodologies, familiarity with regulatory frameworks, and proficiency in relevant tools or software platforms. Strong analytical skills are essential to interpret data, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to achieve certification milestones efficiently.
Conduct required PSV testing and recertification in accordance with NU PRC Guidelines and API 576 standards, with intervals generally ranging from 12 to 36 months based on service conditions.
Perform bench testing and on-site evaluations utilizing deadweight testers and portable pop testers across FPS Os, flow stations, refineries, and gas processing facilities.
Prepare and distribute PSV certification tags that comply with NU PRC regulations and meet the standards of third-party inspectors.
Ensures adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and standards while maintaining full compliance with all applicable legal and industry requirements. Conducts regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures. Develops, reviews, and updates HSE policies, procedures, and training programs to foster a culture of safety and regulatory compliance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent implementation of HSE protocols across all operations. Investigates incidents, near-misses, and compliance deviations, documenting findings and recommending preventative actions to mitigate future risks. Serves as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, providing documentation, reports, and responses to inquiries or audits. Monitors emerging regulations and industry best practices to proactively adjust compliance strategies and maintain organizational alignment with evolving standards.
Ensure full adherence to the DPR Safety Regulations of 1997 as well as all relevant NAGPRA standards and guidelines.
Ensure all necessary Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Toolbox Talk documentation is completed prior to commencing any work activity.
Profile
Minimum qualification includes an ND or HND in Mechanical Engineering from a polytechnic accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NOTE), with a preference for a B.Eng. degree for IOC positions.
API 510 or API 570 certification is preferred, and candidates must possess SOVIET and DUET qualifications for offshore positions. Registration with CORE is considered an additional benefit.
Requires eight to ten years of experience within the oil and gas sector, including a minimum of six years dedicated specifically to PSV maintenance. Familiarity with FASO or LNG operations is considered advantageous.
