MAIN FUNCTIONS
Serves as the company’s on-site representative at the rig, facilitating the accurate and timely implementation of well plans while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Acts as the main point of contact for both rig personnel and external contractors, overseeing the coordination and management of logistics for personnel, equipment, and services to ensure seamless operations.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, including the planning, coordination, and supervision of [specific tasks, if mentioned]. Serve as a key contributor to [specific projects, teams, or departments]. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry regulations, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and foster synergy. Monitor performance metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement and report findings to stakeholders. Ensures clear communication of safety, security, health, and environmental expectations while offering guidance and support in the management of Age-related incidents.
Responsible for disseminating Operations Integrity Management Systems (AIMS) requirements and standards to personnel at the rig site.
The role involves overseeing rig operations to deliver actionable feedback and guidance to the rig contractor, ensuring strict adherence to well control protocols and effective handling of emergency situations.
Ensures that safety, operational, environmental, security, and other drills are conducted on-site at the required intervals.
Ensures strict adherence to approved drilling and completion procedures while employing management of change processes whenever modifications are deemed necessary.
Efficiently arranges and manages the acquisition and coordination of services and equipment essential for the seamless execution of drilling and completion operations.
This role ensures the fulfillment of onsite monitoring needs critical to operations, including kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque and drag analysis, evaluation of mud properties, and assessment of solids control efficiency.
Generates precise and comprehensive operational reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Interfaces collaborates closely with engineering and geology teams to ensure alignment on well objectives and procedural protocols. This role facilitates clear communication between disciplines to guarantee a shared comprehension of project goals and operational standards.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is required, as well as familiarity with database management systems. The ideal applicant will have experience with Agile methodologies and possess strong problem-solving skills. Additionally, excellent communication abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team are essential. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
Accumulated a decade or more of hands-on experience in the field.
Seasoned professionals with hands-on leadership in drilling and completion operations, particularly in supervisory or rig leadership capacities, are encouraged to apply.
Possesses a proven track record of employment within a leading Operator or Drilling Contractor organization.
Maintains current and valid certification in Well Control.
