Job Brief

We require a driven and outcomes-focused Marketing Sales Lead to enhance our progressive marketing team.

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in implementing cutting-edge marketing strategies designed to boost engagement and elevate brand visibility within key markets.

You’ll collaborate extensively with various departments to design and execute field marketing strategies that support our company’s strategic objectives.

Oversee and execute a wide range of duties, including but not limited to managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring deliverables meet established standards. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives and streamline processes, fostering an environment of productivity and accountability. Monitor progress through regular evaluations, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective measures as needed. Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and uphold transparency throughout all initiatives.

Craft and execute thorough marketing initiatives specifically designed to enhance business expansion and boost revenue generation.

Oversee and inspire the marketing team to drive sales growth and consistently achieve their predetermined sales objectives.

Develop and implement strategic initiatives for the marketing department, ensuring measurable outcomes and continuous improvement in performance.

Proactively re-establish contact with previous clients to nurture ongoing relationships and explore potential opportunities for renewed engagement.

Ensure the department achieves its objectives and is held fully accountable for its overall performance and outcomes.

Develop and uphold the company’s brand identity, fostering uniformity across all marketing platforms to guarantee each marketer achieves their designated objectives.

Conduct comprehensive market research and perform detailed data analysis to shape marketing strategies, uncover emerging market trends, and evaluate campaign effectiveness.

To achieve the established departmental sales targets, which encompass the collective sales objectives of all Business Development Executives (Bees), consistent performance and strategic execution are imperative.

Monitor and present key marketing performance indicators, such as website traffic volumes, social media interaction levels, lead generation figures, and conversion rate benchmarks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Activities aimed at boosting sales figures will also be considered essential to this role.

You will be responsible for formulating and implementing comprehensive marketing policies to ensure the department operates efficiently and in alignment with organizational objectives.

You must adhere to the company’s dress code, presenting yourself professionally at all times.

Management maintains a firm stance against tardiness, with no exceptions permitted for arriving late to work.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of professional experience in a related role. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, proficiency in industry-specific software, and experience leading cross-functional teams. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering measurable results. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and project management methodologies is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will exhibit leadership qualities, adaptability to evolving industry trends, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

A minimum of an HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a closely related discipline is required.

With a minimum of five to seven years of specialized experience in marketing—ideally within field marketing—candidates should possess a strong background in the Freight and Logistics sector.

A master’s degree in Science (M.Sc.) or Business Administration (MBA) would be highly beneficial.

Demonstrated proficiency in organizing tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and efficiently overseeing multiple projects at once, ensuring timely completion and attention to detail.

Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in communication and interpersonal interactions, coupled with a strong ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships.

Proficient in Communication: Demonstrates strong interpersonal abilities to engage with customers, accurately assess their requirements, and deliver tailored solutions.

Proven capability to cultivate enduring partnerships with potential clients and effectively transition those relationships into successful business engagements.

Proven expertise in negotiating advantageous agreements and successfully finalizing sales transactions.

Proven capability in leading the marketing team strategically while efficiently allocating tasks to ensure sales objectives are achieved.

Demonstrate a commitment to customer-centric principles by thoroughly analyzing and addressing client needs to deliver tailored, effective solutions that align with their specific requirements.

Leverages data to gather and evaluate insights, driving the formulation of strategic sales approaches and enhancing overall performance metrics.

Proven capability to lead and mobilize the marketing team while developing and executing effective sales strategies.

Proven capability to develop strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing sales performance and uncovering avenues for expansion.

Must demonstrate initiative and a strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
