Job Summary
The Project Manager (Branch Expansion) will oversee the complete lifecycle of establishing new organization outlets, guaranteeing that all expansion initiatives meet deadlines, adhere to budgetary constraints, and align with the company’s brand and operational benchmarks.
Oversee and execute critical duties to ensure operational success, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining high standards of quality across all deliverables. Liaise with stakeholders to align objectives with business goals, address concerns promptly, and foster collaborative relationships. Monitor progress through regular evaluations, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. Prepare detailed reports to communicate performance metrics, insights, and recommendations. Additionally, ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and best practices to uphold compliance and integrity.
Create comprehensive project plans for new retail outlet openings, overseeing all key elements such as schedules, financial allocations, and critical milestones to ensure timely and successful execution.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across operations, design, procurement, legal, and HR departments, as well as external contractors, to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
Identify, assess, and oversee appropriate locations for new outlets in alignment with the company’s growth objectives.
Supervise the execution of fit-out, construction, and renovation projects for newly established locations.
Oversee all licensing processes, permits acquisition, and regulatory approvals necessary for the establishment of new outlets.
Develop and implement operational readiness checklists while ensuring all pre-opening activities are executed with precision.
Monitor project advancements, assess potential risks, and develop and execute corrective measures to ensure timely and successful completion.
Oversee project budgets, negotiate and administer vendor contracts, and handle procurement activities specifically for fit-out projects.
Compile and deliver comprehensive project status updates to senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of progress, risks, and key milestones.
Capture insights from each expansion to enhance the effectiveness of future project executions.
The ideal candidate must meet the following essential criteria and possess the required qualifications. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is necessary, along with at least three years of experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills are mandatory. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail is crucial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
A master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Architecture, or a closely related discipline is required.
A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent project management credential is considered beneficial.
We are seeking candidates with at least seven years of hands-on experience in project management, ideally within retail expansion, real estate, or food service sectors.
Demonstrates a robust history of successfully overseeing the expansion or renovation of projects spanning multiple locations.
Possesses exceptional ability to organize, plan, and manage stakeholders effectively.
Possesses a solid comprehension of construction methodologies, facility management principles, and regulatory frameworks specific to Lagos.
Proven expertise in utilizing project management tools such as MS Project and Asana is required.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in negotiation, communication, and problem-solving.
