We are in search of a seasoned and strategic Head of Land Acquisition to oversee the full spectrum of land sourcing, acquisition, title verification, negotiation, and regulatory approval processes for our organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in real estate development, land administration, government relations, and property documentation, alongside a demonstrated history of successfully acquiring suitable lands for expansive residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
The ideal candidate will spearhead the company’s growth initiatives by pinpointing high-potential land opportunities, mitigating acquisition risks, and upholding adherence to all regulatory and legal mandates.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Demonstrated experience with software development, preferably in Java or Python, is essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a must. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are necessary. 5+ years of relevant professional experience is preferred. Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and system design is required. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management, Estate Surveying & Valuation, Urban & Regional Planning, Geography, Law, or a closely related field is required.
A Master’s Degree or professional certifications would provide a competitive edge.
A minimum of 12 to 15 years of hands-on experience in land acquisition, real estate development, estate management, or property administration is required.
Professionals should possess substantial expertise collaborating with government ministries, agencies, land bureaus, or regulatory authorities.
Proficient in managing land documentation, including title processing, Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), Governor’s Consent, excision, gazette publications, survey plans, and land regularization procedures.
Demonstrates a strong track record in recognizing, assessing, and acquiring strategic land opportunities.
A strong aptitude for negotiating, managing stakeholders, and cultivating relationships is required.
A comprehensive grasp of property laws, land use regulations, and real estate market trends is essential.
Proficient in performing feasibility analyses and evaluating land valuations.
Experienced in providing strategic direction, conducting thorough data analysis, and developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS/land mapping tools is considered a beneficial asset.
Professional affiliation with organizations such as NI ESV, CARBON, NTP, or equivalent professional bodies is highly beneficial.
