The Senior Information Technology Support Engineer is responsible for delivering high-level technical support to users across stores and the head office, swiftly diagnosing and resolving a wide range of hardware, software, network, and application-related issues.
The position involves managing help desk functions, prioritizing and escalating intricate issues, and maintaining high system availability for essential pharmacy and retail operations.
The engineer will be responsible for administering systems, which includes managing user accounts, applying system updates, performing backups, and maintaining servers and network infrastructure.
The role encompasses creating and maintaining detailed documentation for solutions and procedures, providing user training on systems and tools, and partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders to advance technology initiatives. Additionally, the position involves supporting ongoing enhancements to IT policies, security measures, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Qualifications
A robust track record in Technical Support and Help Desk operations is required, including expertise in resolving Tier 2/3 incidents and managing user-facing challenges.

Demonstrates strong troubleshooting abilities in hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity across multiple sites.
Proficiency in managing mission-critical applications, such as point-of-sale systems, inventory management platforms, or healthcare and pharmacy solutions, is considered beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline—or equivalent hands-on experience—is required.
