This is a full-time, on-site Senior Portfolio Manager position situated in Lagos, where the role will involve leading the development, administration, and enhancement of diversified investment portfolios to align with clients’ risk tolerance and return expectations.
Daily duties encompass tracking market movements, conducting thorough fundamental and quantitative evaluations, adjusting portfolio allocations, and executing trades in adherence to established internal policies and regulatory mandates. Additionally, the position entails formulating and enhancing investment strategies, crafting comprehensive investment proposals, and delivering periodic performance updates alongside insightful commentary to clients and internal stakeholders.
The Senior Portfolio Manager will provide mentorship to junior team members, foster collaboration across research, sales, and risk teams, and engage in investment committee meetings to contribute to firm-wide portfolio strategy.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a related industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is proficiency in data analysis tools and software. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are also necessary to articulate insights effectively. Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities is expected.
