The Role
The Internal Control Unit is actively recruiting an Internal Control Officer to enhance the organization’s internal control framework, ensuring robust governance across all business operations.
This position entails scrutinizing financial transactions, procurement operations, reconciliations, and additional operational workflows in accordance with the COST framework to uphold operational effectiveness, regulatory adherence, and risk reduction.
What You Will Do
Oversee all aspects of loan processing, including the approval workflow, interest computations, account reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger postings to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies.
Perform comprehensive daily evaluations of operational transactions, encompassing account openings, loan processing, payment settlements, deposit handling, and expense management.
Examine and validate calculations related to commissions and incentives to ensure accuracy and adherence to established policies.
Monitor control exceptions diligently and coordinate with process owners to ensure timely implementation of remediation actions across multiple business areas.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and applicable regulatory standards.
Candidates for this position must meet the following prerequisites: a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role, proficiency in industry-specific software tools, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Additional desirable qualifications include prior leadership experience, familiarity with regulatory compliance standards, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
