We are seeking a dedicated Full Stack Developer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis, with the opportunity to work from our offices in either Lagos or Abuja.
The Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that facilitate Bowmen’s logistics and freight operations.
You will be responsible for designing intuitive front-end interfaces, building secure and scalable back-end services, and seamlessly integrating internal systems with third-party APIs.
This position entails partnering with product, operations, and logistics teams to convert business objectives into technical implementations, developing clear and maintainable code, resolving technical challenges, and actively participating in code evaluations and the ongoing enhancement of engineering methodologies.
The developer will collaborate to maintain the reliability and performance of Bowmen’s platforms while ensuring they meet the requirements of shippers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics, is required for this position. Applicants must possess at least three years of professional experience in a related industry, demonstrating a strong foundation in problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum. Excellent communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly. Additionally, candidates should exhibit a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in front-end development with expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
Experienced in back-end web development and software engineering, with expertise in designing and implementing APIs as well as managing and integrating databases effectively.
Proficiency in full-stack development is required, with practical expertise in seamlessly combining front-end and back-end systems to create cohesive, functional applications.
Proficiency in version control systems such as Git, along with expertise in contemporary frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, Node.js, or equivalent technologies, is required. Additionally, a strong grasp of RESTful API design principles is essential.
Demonstrates proficiency in crafting clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code, accompanied by robust problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented, on-site setting while collaborating effectively with diverse, cross-functional groups.
A background in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation systems is highly desirable.
