Brief Job Overview

We seek an Accountant to strengthen our Finance/Accounts team, targeting a professional with mid-level experience who will assist in advising businesses and individuals on financial strategies to optimize spending and maximize profitability.

You will assess data, assess investment opportunities, and deliver strategic recommendations to stakeholders and firms.

Responsibilities

The qualified applicant should possess the following qualifications, among others:

Maintains precise and up-to-date general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and other financial records and schedules.

Establishes and enforces comprehensive policies and procedures to safeguard organizational assets from waste, fraud, and operational inefficiencies.

Establishes and enforces robust procedures to ensure stringent oversight of all cash transactions.

Demonstrates diligence in managing the timely resolution of accounts receivable and payable matters.

Evaluates and executes both internal and external audit recommendations, subsequently offering detailed feedback to management regarding the outcomes.

Implements the budget and forecast preparation schedule by gathering pertinent business data and projections from line departments, subsequently delivering pertinent analyses and feedback.

Offers expert guidance and comprehensive support in financial matters to the organization’s leadership team.

Exercises budgetary, accounting, physical, and credit controls in accordance with established procedures and asset management protocols.

Delivers strategic financial guidance and leverages deep business insight to actively participate in pivotal company decisions, ensuring informed and impactful outcomes.

Offer innovative strategies and tailored solutions to drive cost reductions and enhance overall financial outcomes.

Analyze market and industry trends, evaluate data, and provide strategic recommendations to a senior financial analyst to support informed decision-making. Based on thorough assessments, offer actionable insights and propose solutions to enhance financial performance and mitigate risks.

Stay abreast of industry developments by continuously expanding and refreshing your expertise to ensure familiarity with the latest advancements and innovations in the field.

Collaborate with organizational leadership to shape and inform pivotal long-term and strategic decisions across the widest possible scope.

Enhance and streamline operational processes while crafting and implementing policies that significantly influence departmental performance.

Performs various other tasks as directed by management, as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or management role. Proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance essential. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) mandatory. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities necessary. Demonstrated leadership in process improvement and team development highly desirable.

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a comparable discipline is required.

A Chartered Accountant with three to five years of specialized experience in a comparable capacity within the manufacturing or export sector is required.

Experienced Finance Analyst with a track record of success in financial analysis roles.

Skilled in utilizing spreadsheet and database platforms, along with Microsoft Office suites and specialized financial software applications.

Proficiency in applying statistical techniques and utilizing statistical software is required.

Exceptional proficiency in presentation, reporting, and communication is required.

Proficiency in financial forecasting and diagnostics, corporate finance, and information analysis is required.

Proficient in contemporary financial topics, accounting principles, tax regulations, money market dynamics, and business environments.

ICAN/ARCA Professional Membership is a mandatory prerequisite for this position.

Proficient in utilizing contemporary accounting software solutions is essential.
