The ideal candidates will assist the Finance and Accounts Department with financial documentation, transaction processing, reconciliations, receivables and payables support, statutory compliance, and basic financial reporting.

This position is ideal for emerging professionals who hold a solid academic foundation in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a closely aligned field, with up to three years of hands-on professional experience. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, numerical proficiency, a proactive approach to learning, and the ability to handle financial data with precision and discretion.

The primary duties associated with this position include overseeing key operational functions, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Additionally, the role involves analyzing performance metrics to identify trends, implementing process improvements, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the position requires strong communication skills to facilitate alignment and drive collective decision-making. Furthermore, the responsibilities encompass budget oversight, resource allocation, and the development of actionable plans to achieve organizational goals.

Assist in compiling, verifying, and organizing invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, journals, and other financial records for accurate documentation and submission.

Support the accurate recording of financial transactions in the accounting system under the guidance of senior personnel.

Perform bank, customer, vendor, and general ledger reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with established accounting standards.

Facilitate the monitoring and recording of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate financial tracking and compliance.

Provide assistance with the compilation and administration of payments, expense claims, reimbursements, and retirements. Ensure accurate documentation and systematic filing of financial records to facilitate audits, reporting, and future reference. Collaborate on the generation of weekly, monthly, and periodic finance reports.

Prepare tax and statutory compliance documentation, ensuring accurate handling of VAT, WHT, PAYE, pension contributions, and other pertinent deductions.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is required. Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms is necessary. Experience with software development methodologies is also required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are needed.

A bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Upper Division in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable field is required.

Seeking candidates with up to three years of professional experience in finance, accounting, audit, banking, consulting, or a closely related discipline.

Proficient knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, financial procedures, and reconciliation methods is required.

Possesses strong capabilities in numerical analysis, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning.

Demonstrates meticulous focus and precision in all tasks.

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel and other applications within the Microsoft Office suite is required.

Strong proficiency in analyzing numerical data, preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and interpreting supporting documentation.

Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ARCA, ACA, or equivalent credentials will be considered advantageous.
